WWE News: The reason behind the Shane McMahon-Undertaker match, according to Kane

Speculation is still high if the WrestleMania match between Shane McMahon and the Undertaker will make way for a deeper underlying plot. When Shane O’Mac made his thunderous return and alluded to a “lockbox”, the WWE Universe’s hopes rose faster than a thermometer in boiling water.

As exciting and promising (WrestleMania 32 has already broken attendance records, according to ‘the books’) as the angle is, those of us who are initiated have a sneaking suspicion that this is a last minute filler for the Cena-Taker match that broke Vince’s heart when it fell through.

Reports only seem to grant credence to conjecture, with some stating that Creative pushed the envelope towards Shane barely a few weeks before he made his first RAW appearance in half a decade.

The plot seems to be decomposing a little, with the Undertaker’s chilling but somewhat mechanical reply on RAW failing to build any suspense. Vince raised the stakes by saying that not only would Shane not be granted control of RAW if he lost to the Undertaker, but he would lose his inheritance as well.

Strive as we did for an explanation, we didn’t get one. Not one that was foreseen, anyway. WWE veteran Kane, offered this as a possible reason for the match, courtesy of cagesideseats.com: ”He has a challenge in front of him, and that's what it is. I don't know if there's necessarily a nefarious back story or anything like that.”

Like Sherlock Holmes said, “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” In this case, it’s the Undertaker saying, “Yes, boss.”
