WWE News: Ric Flair believes that Shane McMahon will face Triple H at Wrestlemania 33

Will the real life tension come to fruition in a storyline?

On his most recent episode of The Ric Flair Show, Flair’s co-host Conrad Thompson asked him if Shane McMahon should stop taking such high-risk bumps, after getting hurt at Survivor Series. The Nature Boy said that Shane lives for those kinds of moments and there was no reason anyone should say he shouldn't do that anymore.

He then went on to predict that Shane McMahon would face Triple H at Wrestlemania 33.

Shane vs. Triple H has been something teased since Wrestlemania 32. The assumption, when Shane took control for the first month after Wrestlemania, was that the Authority would return and it would lead to a huge rivalry between Shane against Stephanie McMahon & Triple H, perhaps even culminating in a Shane vs. Triple H match.

While that is highly possible, Triple H’s next rivalry which is likely to be pursued maybe against Seth Rollins. The tease happened the week after Summerslam when Triple H returned and shocked the world by turning on Rollins, who was formerly his protogé. Triple H vs. Seth Rollins has been a feud that has been teased since 2015 and was reportedly supposed to happen at Wrestlemania 32. However, Rollins got injured in November 2015 and missed Wrestlemania, the event that he was supposed to be a huge part of.

Regardless, Shane vs. Triple H would be a huge marquee match as well. There has been some real-life tension between Shane McMahon and Triple H. On Mick Foley’s podcast from earlier this year, Shane seemed to be evasive while speaking about his relationship with Triple H, and that alone says everything you need to know.
