Despite being thrown out from Charlotte's corner on RAW this Monday, Ric Flair is still signed with WWE. It doesn't seem like the last of Flair either, as the fiery separation is reportedly storyline driven.
Nature boy has helped 'Daddy's Little Nature Girl' establish herself ‘The Nature Girl’. He has been her manager and also in her corner at ringside. However, Charlotte happens to think otherwise.
Charlotte directed her anger towards Ric Flair with the classic “What?”. She continued by blaming him for being an absent father who abandoned her.
“You are immortal to them. But to me, you're just dead.”
The relationship had to end sometime, but this was the nastiest way to do that. This was probably the only time that the crowd wasn't hooked on to the “Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye” singalong which was Charlotte's way of booing him out.
With a veteran like Ric Flair in the corner, it's apparent that his mythical stature overshadowed Charlotte. Was this Charlotte's way of getting the attention back to her? Or was it the win over Natalya without her father's help reaching her head? Whatever the case be, Charlotte was very cruel in establishing that she doesn't need Naitch anymore, encouraged by Dana Brooke whilst in the act.
There is no indication on exactly where the storyline is headed and how many of Flair's emotional breakdowns we will see. The Ric Flair & Charlotte show is storyline driven but Ric Flair is part of its future, for sure.
