WWE News: Sasha Banks opens up about fearing Vince McMahon, less women on Raw and future feuds

Sasha Banks feels Raw needs more female superstars

Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks, was the special guest on the previous episode of the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, and she spoke about several things concerning her ongoing run in the business.

Despite having been around in the WWE for more than four years now, Banks admitted that she is still scared of chairman, Vince McMahon, but doesn’t let it show when he’s around. She added that Triple H is the person she approaches, whenever she requires any help as she has known him since her NXT days.

Here’s what the Raw Superstar had to say:

“Hunter's Papa, so [McMahon] must be Granddaddy. I don't really get to talk to him too often because I am honestly very scared of him. I am honestly really scared of him. But when he walks by, I try to be cool. Yeah, 'hello, how are you, sir?' He's like, 'hello, yeah.' I'm like, 'we're good, right?'

“It's mostly just Papa Hunter that I talk to. I've known him since NXT. He [has] seen me since the beginning when I was a nobody, so he's my go-to guy if I ever need help or questions. Yeah, he's the man,” added The Boss.

In response to a question about whether the women’s division would have been better off, being on either Raw or Smackdown Live, she opined that splitting the WWE female roster allows more scope for them. However, Banks pointed out that the women Superstars on Raw are far too few at present and more faces are required.

“I think it's good that we're split and more opportunities can happen for women, but we really don't have enough women. Like, I wrestle the same people every single week, Dana Brooke or Charlotte, Charlotte, Dana Brooke. There [are] only six of us and I think that's the hardest part, we just need more faces on RAW.”

Speaking about the feuds she looks forward to, the former NXT champion hinted at one with Bayley in the near future but regretted not being able to feud with Natalya and other SmackDown Live superstars due to the brand split.

Banks stated, “I think in due time [a Bayley feud will happen], but other than that, I mean, Natalya's on SmackDown, but I haven't really had a good feud with her, and I would love to wrestle her. Naomi, Carmella, Alexa [Bliss], everyone that's on SmackDown. Dammit.”
