WWE News: Seth Rollins talks about the Dean Ambrose spot that made him and Roman Reigns jealous

The SHIELD was one of the most dominant factions in the WWE in recent times

The trio of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns created ripples in the WWE Universe when they made their debut in late 2012. The trio, who called themselves The Shield, went on to become one of the most dominant factions in the WWE in recent years.

However, the sanctity of this brotherhood was violated by Rollins, when he took a steel chair to the back to Ambrose and Rollins.

Speaking to GiveMeSport during the recent WWE tour of UK, Rollins recalled an interesting incident from his Shield days. The WWE was on its annual post-WrestleMania UK tour in 2013, when The Shield were unbeaten in the WWE.

They were pitted in a match against team Hell No, comprising of Kane and Daniel Bryan alongside the Phenom – The Undertaker in a six-man tag match at the O2 Arena.

Rollins said that he cherished the opportunity to work with the Deadman, despite it being a tag team match. However, it was Ambrose who took away top honours as he was pitted against the Deadman in a singles contest at a house show the next night.

“I remember the next night Ambrose got the singles match with Taker, and myself and Roman were both very happy for him, but also very envious of that spot. There is a handful of guys that he has wrestled in singles matches in the past few years, so to have that on your list would be pretty sweet.”

Rollins, however, was hopeful of getting into the ring with The Undertaker, before the latter decided to hang his boots for good. As of this writing, Seth is scheduled to go on to meet Triple H at WrestleMania, while rumours have surfaced, of The Undertaker setting up a program with WWE Champion AJ Styles, for Royal Rumble.

So Rollins’ plan of working Taker will have to wait for the time being.

All three members of the Shield are now top stars in the company and have held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, as it was called then, at some point in their careers.

Rollins, however, will be heading into Survivor Series as an integral member of Team RAW alongside former Shield member Roman Reigns, to take on Team SmackDown Live which will feature Dean Ambrose.
