The Attitude Era is marked by 3 incredible tag teams who paved the way for Tag Team Wrestling – Edge & Christian, The Dudley Boyz, and The Hardy Boyz. These 3 set a precedent for what would become an incredible part of pro wrestling for years to come.
Thier TLC matches in Wrestlemania 2000 and Wrestlemania XVII were nothing short of iconic. But there is nothing we can say that hasn’t already been said about the trio of teams.
The Dudley Boyz, just a couple of months after leaving the WWE again will be facing old rivals, the Hardy Boyz, in House Of Glory’s 6th-anniversary show, which will take place in New York City on December 17th.
It looks like the Dudley Boyz are not yet ready to hang up their boots. After leaving WWE, D-Von Dudley has taken the role of a backstage agent/producer.
However, he is still wrestling on the independent circuit, and he will be with Bubba Ray Dudley when team 3D goes to Insane Championship Wrestling’s Fear and Loathing IX event, the same one which former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor has been advertised for after Mick Foley was unable to make it.
Meanwhile, The Hardy Boyz, particularly Matt, has been creating an immense amount of buzz after changing his character to “Broken” Matt Hardy. His brother Jeff is now playing a “broken” persona as well, and it will be interesting to see the rivalry between the two iconic teams take a new life.
Here is a match between the two teams from Royal Rumble 2000:
Relive another epic encounter between the two one fine episode of Monday Night Raw from back in The Attitude Era:
