WWE News: Tony Nese and Drew Gulak have been offered WWE contracts

The two Cruiserweights are officially WWE superstars

Tony Nese and Drew Gulak both got knocked out of the Cruiserweight Classic in the second round and both also debuted on the September 26th edition of Raw, the second week after the Cruiserweights were introduced.

According to Dave Scherer or PWInsider reported that WWE has extended contract offers to both Drew Gulak and Tony Nese.

Both are scheduled to be part of the upcoming 205 Live which premiers after the second Smackdown Live post-Survivor Series. It will be an interesting place to see a refresh button hit on the Cruiserweight division which many felt has been badly handled since its’ inception on Raw.

It was also criticised for not living up to the magic and mystique of the Cruiserweight Classic.

Drew Gulak has so far been used as an enhancement talent, taking the pinfall in practically every match he has been in. He was initially considered to be a coach, but the WWE decided to use him as an enhancement talent instead.

Tony Nese on the other hand, is someone that WWE are reportedly very high on. It won’t be surprising to see Nese being in the main Cruiserweight title picture, and could even have a run with the Cruiserweight Championship at some point.

Akira Tozawa and Jack Gallagher are two stars who many are anticipating to arrive on Raw and 205 Live. They have both finished up their independent dates and are set to make their debut very soon. Gallagher had actually finished up his dates over a month ago but had visa issues to deal with.

Both Gulak and Nese worked the latest EVOLVE show in Queens, New York City. That is likely to have been the last independent date for Gulak and Nese now that they’re all set to become full time WWE performers. You can watch their RAW debuts below:
