WWE News: Triple H loses first match after WrestleMania 32

Maybe it was the jet lag

At 46-years-old, Triple H is one of the most senior members of the WWE roster, but that hasn’t affected his vitality. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion returned to in-ring action yesterday against the Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose.

The contest which main-evented a WWE Live Event in Newcastle, England, was called by some the ‘Match of the night’ and ended with Dean Ambrose picking up the win via Dirty Deeds. Triple H arrived in England earlier in the day after attending a USO Metro-DC Awards Dinner in Washington, DC on Tuesday. Workaholism.

Here are the other matches from the event(courtesy wrestlezone.com), which included an appearance from English cricketer Ben Stokes of ICC T20 World Cup 2016 Final infamy. He was the guest timekeeper for a match:

– The Miz defeated Dolph Ziggler after Maryse interfered

– Alberto Del Rio squashed Damien Sandow and then issued an open challenge, only to lose quickly via roll-up

– Sami Zayn defeated Kevin Owens after hitting the Helluva Kick

– 8-Woman tag team match where Paige, Alicia Fox, Eva Marie and Natalya defeated Summer Rae, Lana, Tamina and Naomi

– AJ Styles defeated Chris Jericho via Pinfall after hitting the Styles Clash

– Goldust defeated Curtis Axel via roll-up and gets beaten down. R-Truth makes the save. Viktor from the Ascension was made an honorary member of the Social Outcasts for the match (Konnor and Adam Rose are suspended). Ben Stokes was the guest timekeeper for the match.

– Kalisto defeated Ryback after hitting the Salida Del Sol. The Big Guy controlled most of the match.

– Big Show and Kane defeated Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan
