Triple H said that they are working on the new NXT announce team

WWE's Executive Vice President of Talent and former WWE Champion Triple H recently held a media call promoting the NXT Takeover: Back 2 Brooklyn event. Thanks to dailywrestlingnews.com, below are some of the highlights from the interview:

Triple h first talked about the growth of NXT and called it a Global brand. He revealed that they will be announcing the Australia tour of the development brand very soon and said that they want to take it anywhere it can go.

A German reporter then asked Triple H about the new NXT singing Alexander Wolfe. Hunter noted that he expects to see big things coming out of Wolfe soon while also praising him as a performer.

After Alexander, he also talked about former football player Tim Wiese who signed a development contract with WWE back in June this year. When asked about the debut and future plans for him Triple H said that they are 'playing it by ear”

The former member of DX said that they all hope this is something big for Tim and everyone involved but they are currently seeing how his training is going. He revealed that Wiese will be doing something in the upcoming German tour but didn't open much about it.

Next, he was asked about Kota Ibushi who is currently working with WWE on per appearance basis and is said to be interested in working for WWE as well as NJPW at the same time. He was asked if WWE would be open for a deal like that or if they would like talents to be exclusive to them as it is currently.

While answering this, The King of Kings recalled working with Jushin “Thunder” Liger last year and said that they are open to different things. Although he also noted that they want the cruiserweight division to be exclusive to WWE.

The injury bug hit WWE very hard during the first half of this year when more than half-dozen stars were put on the shelf due to various injuries during the WrestleMania season.

After this WWE has hired a new strength & conditioning coach at the performance center allegedly to train stars in a way so they can prevent injuries by increasing their strength.

Triple h was asked if there has been a change in the training due to this and he said that they’re looking into trends and what might cause different injuries

He said that it’s difficult to pin the injuries on one thing, but they are absolutely looking at what causes those things to happen. He explained they are trying to make the talents bullet proof by looking into various technology to help monitor training

Along with this, he also talked about the 50-50 bookings which are regularly seen on the main WWE programming but not on NXT. He said that booking a one hour show is completely different than booking a 3-hour show. According to him, He books NXT the way he wants to book NXT and the rest of WWE booking is done differently at times.
