WWE RAW coming to India in December 2017 for two live events

The stars of RAW and SmackDown’s Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers will be in India in December

WWE and Sony Pictures Networks India announced this past week that WWE LIVE will return to India with two shows in New Delhi at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Friday, December 8, and Saturday, December 9. Ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks.

The shows will feature “The Modern-Day Maharaja”, current WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, who will be accompanied by The Singh Brothers. In addition, WWE LIVE will feature WWE Superstars Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss, Sasha Bank, and more.

WWE Champion Jinder Mahal spoke about the upcoming event and was very proud to perform in India, “It is an honour to represent the people of India every time I step into the ring, and it will be a true privilege to perform for them live,” said Jinder Mahal.

“WWE enjoys a large, dedicated following in India, with the highest TV viewership after only cricket,” said Mr. Rajesh Kaul, President, Sports and Distribution Business, Sony Pictures Networks. “We are delighted to announce to our loyal fans the return of WWE LIVE, presenting them with an opportunity that will take them closer to their favourite WWE Superstars.”

The WWE’s tour of India in January of 2016, its first in fourteen years, was an unimaginable success. There were two shows held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, which featured Roman Reigns, Rusev, Ryback, The Wyatt Family, Kane, Big Show, The Usos, Charlotte and not least, the two Indian NXT Superstars Kishan Raftar and Lovepreet Sangha.
