NXT 29/4/15 – Results

The NXT champion Kevin Owens kicks things off with an in ring promo. William Regal interrupts as tells Owens he can’t use NXT to further his own agendas. The go back and forth on the mic before being Sami Zayn enters. Regal stops the two from brawling before announcing a rematch for the upcoming NXT special (May 20th). Owens initially didn’t want to put his title on the line but after some goading from Zayn he agreed to.

Carmella argues with Enzo & Cass backstage before leaving. After which the NXT tag champs appears and speak to Carmella.

We return to see Zayn signing the official contract before Alex Riley interjects demanding another match with Owens. Instead Zayn challenges Riley to a match tonight which he accepts.

Enzo Amore/Collin Cassidy defeated Wesley Blake/Buddy Murphy in a non-title match up thanks to a distraction from Carmella thus earning themselves a championship bout sometime in the future.

Backstage segment featuring Bayley unable to find her ring gear before Emma reveals that she stole it.

Dana Brooks faced off against Bayley. As Bayley closed in on a victory, Emma appeared wearing Bayley’s stolen ring gear for the distraction thus allowing Brooks to capitalise by picking up the pinfall.

William Regal announces a number one contender’s triple threat match for the upcoming NXT special between Finn Balor, Hideo Itami and Tyler Breeze.

Hideo Itami dominated Adam Rose before defeating him with the shotgun kick.

Becky Lynch defeated Sara Dawson via submission with the Fujiwara Armbar. Another short dominating squash match similar to Itami’s bout.

Sami Zayn faces Alex Riley in the main event of this week’s show with Kevin Owens on commentary. The action went back and forth before later in the bout when Zayn hit a flip dive on Riley. It was at this point when Owens made his presence felt by attacking Zayn from behind. Owens slams Zayn’s head into the ramp before powerbombing Riley into the ring apron. Owens stands over Zayn holding the title high before leaving as the show ended.
