As No Mercy approaches, the superstars had a chance to get each other at the latest Smackdown live event held at The Moda Centre,Portland. The action was breathtaking throughout the night with the flames of rivalries reaching new heights and proving points.
Here are the results of the Smackdown live event from Portland.
1. Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz (w/Maryse) in a non title match.
This rivalry has been built superbly and they were allowed to perform before the final showdown at No Mercy. The expectations for this are huge given the situation, understanding this the crowd was red hot and ended with a huge pop after the finish.
Result: Dolph Ziggler defeated The Miz via pinfall.
2. American Alpha & The Hype Bros vs. The Vaudevillains and The Ascension.
This match was all about energy with the “Hype train” running wild and American Alpha with the old school tag team wrestling. The match was perfect in making the American Alpha the next big thing in the tag team division.
Result: American Alpha & The Hype Bros defeated The Vaudevillains and The Ascension.
3. Apollo Crews vs. Curt Hawkins
Finally it was time...After all the vignettes and all the facts and the wait Curt Hawkins was finally back and he was up against the young athletic powerhouse Apollo Crews. This same match is expected to follow up at No Mercy.
Result: Apollo Crews defeated Curt Hawkins via pinfall
4. Heath Slater & Rhyno vs. The Usos for the Smackdown tag team titles
The crowd was really hot for Heath Slater who was on fire with his free agent gimmick and that definetly showed in his confidence. The Usos also have been brilliant after their turn and the new gear and attitude seems to suit them better.
Result : Heath Slater & Rhyno defeated The Usos to retain the titles.
5. Randy Orton vs Bray Wyatt
Finally after a month of finding each other and locking up these two meet face to face for a battle before the big night. All was going well until the interference from Kane which affected the outcome of the match.
Result: Randy Orton defeated Bray Wyatt via pinfall thanks to interference from Kane.
6. Nikki Bella and Naomi vs. Alexa Bliss, Carmella and Natalya.
The absence of Becky Lynch was seen and as it turns out she is out with a neck injury so it ended up being a handicap match with the odds favouring Alexa Bliss, Carmella and Natalya. Nikki Bella and Carmella needed a platform to settle their diferences and this was the one. This turned out to be a fun, fast paced handicap by the ladies.
Result: Nikki Bella and Naomi defeated Alexa Bliss, Carmellla and Natalya.
7. Baron Corbin vs. Jack Swagger
The lower mid-card giants collided in this clash which is just the beginning with a lot to be told at No Mercy.
Result: Baron Corbin defeated Jack Swagger
8. WWE Champion AJ Styles vs John Cena vs Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match for the WWE Championship.

It’s time for the big one where it’s The Phenomenal One vs The Champ vs The Lunatic Fringe for the ultimate prize and this did not let down a bit,with the crowd on the edge of their seats for the whole ride which was filled with numerous twists and turns.
Result: AJ Styles defeated John Cena and Dean Ambrose to retain the WWE Championship.
Aftermath, AJ Styles started running his mouth on his victory only fo find Ambrose sneaking up from behind and delivering a Dirty Deeds on him and end the show with Ambrose standing tall. A great way to end a pretty good show.
