Possible storyline for Triple H vs The Rock at Wrestlemania 32

There are a lot of expectations from the Wrestlemania 32, which is scheduled to take place in AT&T stadium in Dallas, Texas on April 3, 2016. It is rumoured to be the final Wrestlemania for the Phenom Undertaker and some more good matches will be decided in the build-up to the PPV.

There was a lot of buzz over the appearance of The Rock for the PPV and the former WWE Champion has confirmed his availability at Wrestlemania through Instagram earlier this week. His role at the PPV has though been uncertain, but there are possibilities of him ending up in a match at the PPV.

If he is set to take part in a match, who will be his opponent?

The Undertaker in his final bout at Wrestlemania? The Beast Brock Lesner, against whom the Rock is yet to get a rematch after losing the WWE Title in Summer Slam 2002? Or John Cena, to whom he lost a couple of years back at the Wrestlemania?

None of the above-mentioned matches will take place and the Wrestlemania is set to provide the fans of the Attitude Era a special treat as The Rock facing his old nemesis Triple H at Wrestlemania 32 looks more likely after what panned out at the same PPV last year.

The Rock made a surprise appearance at Wrestlemania 31 at California and interrupted Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s promo before attacking Triple H in the company of former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey, who came as a fan and got her hands on Stephanie and the Hunter.

This paves a way for a possible feud between the two stalwarts of WWE at the grandest stage of all. This rivalry will take us back to the late 1990s and early 2000s when both these men had an intense rivalry.

15 years down the line, the fans would be delighted to see both these men fighting each other in the middle of a ring.

How will the rivalry build-up?

The foundation stone for a possible Triple H vs The Rock feud would be the ongoing rivalry between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and the McMahon family.

Roman has a rivalry against the Authority for a while now as Triple H and his men kept on screwing him. This got intense at the TLC PPV when Roman Reigns attacked Triple H after losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Sheamus.

Since then, Triple H has taken a storyline break and in the meantime, the Chairman of WWE and Triple H’s father-in-law Vince McMahon has made two appearances to punish Reigns for his actions.

Eventually, Reigns won the title and McMahon called for a rematch against Sheamus with him being the special guest referee in the upcoming episode of Raw.

It is likely that Roman Reigns will somehow manage to defend his title and the Hunter comes out to attack the Champion after the match is over. This leads to a possible encounter between Roman Reigns and Triple H at WWE Royal Rumble later this month.

This storyline is the most likely one to come out at Royal Rumble. Roman Reigns will be in a winning position when the League of Nations (Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett and Rusev) will come and attack Reigns and give Triple H the upper hand.

Suddenly, the Rock’s music will hit the arena and the most electrifying man runs into the ring to save his cousin Reigns from the hands of Triple H and co.

This leads to a possible rivalry between the yesteryear stars with both cutting promos in the Raws leading to Wrestlemania. If this happens, then the WWE fans are set to have a treat.
