WWE News: WWE ratings and viewership in a steady slump

Down but not out

The WWE have been in a rut since a couple of years now. They have been suffering with injury problems, creative problems and viewership problems. The fans have a unanimous opinion that the entertainment value has been slowly declining even though the WWE has promised change in the last couple of months.

The ratings for the WWE Monday Night RAW and SmackDown have been out for the month of February. There is a slowly declining trend that is being seen here if we compare the ratings with the last three years in the month of February.

In February 2016 RAW managed to average a total rating on 2.56 and total viewership number of 3.62 million which has been 12.3% and 9.2% down respectively as they averaged 2.92 rating and 4.01 million viewers in 2015. We see a steady declining trend as the numbers fell from 3.34 rating and 4.60 million viewers to 3.17 rating and 4.51 million viewers from 2013 to 2014.

SmackDown has also been on the decline with the numbers for 2016 going down from 2015. SmackDown showed a downward trend in ratings from 1.83 to 1.77 and viewership from 2.52 million to 2.48 million. In 2013 SmackDown showed an average of 2.05 rating and 2.92 million viewers which fell down to 2.03 average rating and 2.89 million viewers in 2014.
