WWE have been contacted by CM Punk’s lawyers over royalty matters and their use of his likeness as they received a 22-page letter from their former superstar’s advocates.
Punk has been featured as a character in the WWE 2K15 video game which is the primary reason behind this move.
It is believed that Punk’s royalty checks have stopped coming from the WWE due to the fact that he has breached his contract with the company although there has been no confirmation on such reports.
CM Punk departed from the WWE early this year in January due to unknown reasons. The former WWE champion was removed to the Alumni Section of WWE.com in July after the company decided not to address his contract matters which had expired by July 17.
Regarding the 2K15 characters, the roster was put together prior to Punk’s departure.
