WWE removes CM Punk from their official roster page

CM Punk is no longer an official WWE superstar

CM Punk has been silently added to the Alumni section by the WWE after they removed him from the official roster page on their official website.

This activity took place sometime today and regardless of when it was done, this move certainly ends his run as an active WWE superstar.

Of course with his contract expiring on July 17, WWE were bound to take a decision regarding his future in the business. And recent rumours suggested that WWE were considering to renew his deal.

But those speculations have been put to rest smoothly with a quiet step from their end thus ending all the return talks as of now.

Meanwhile, CM Punk has been using his ring name in the various public programmes he has been engaged in. It is believed that between the end of January and mid-February, serious talks were still on between both the parties, but they did not come into any terms following a communication breakdown.

Punk has sustained his current status as a semi-retired pro wrestler whenever he has come in front of the camera. There wasn’t a single hope for the WWE universe regarding his comeback until his recently wedded wife AJ lee made her return.

Many believed that AJ’s return could be a possible sign of Punk coming back to the company, but now things turned out to be the exact opposite as he is not even an official member of the WWE.

Recently he mentioned on his official twitter account that he would be starting a rock band, a podcast or a fire and only two of them would be true.

For now, we will have to wait and see how things unfold in the near future.
