WWE Reports: Why John Cena won't be turning heel anytime soon

John Cena

Back in August, a video was posted by Supertraining Gym in Sacramento which featured WWE superstar John Cena working out with trainer Mark Bell.

In that video, Cena was questioned if he would be turning heel anytime soon to which he replied:

“[A heel turn] will never happen. Oh I’ve got it in me for sure…I do what they tell me, boss.”

The video is no longer available as it has been taken down.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that there are several reasons behind Cena still continuing as the babyface and all of them are primarily based on the company’s financial concerns.

With the absence of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan sitting out with an injury, Cena’s merchandise has been dominating the sales and it has been outselling that rest of the roster. Also, the WWE Live Events which feature the Cenation Leader garners an average of $60,000 more than the non-Cena Live Events.

Meltzer also noted that the shows in cities where Cena appears do better business than the events where he doesn’t.
