WWE superstar Rey Mysterio made an appearance at AAA’s TripleMania pay-per-view last week but surprisingly there has been no fallout or unhealthy developments between him and the WWE.
WWE officials did not contact him for his appearance and haven’t been in touch since May this year. But Rey has been receiving his paychecks regularly.
Wrestling Observer reports that there was no contact with the AAA either as WWE’s legal department hasn’t made any approach on Rey or Alberto Del Rio for that matter.
It’s worth noting that WWE did not ask Rey to appear at the August 23rd live event in his hometown of San Diego.
Mysterio has been stuck with the WWE after his contract was extended for another year owing to the talent clause which states that the company can add more time to a superstar’s contract to compensate for all the time he has missed due to injuries.
Rey was last seen in the ring in a singles match against Bad News Barrett. Here is the video.
