It was a bloody affair on RAW as the closing stages saw the ruthlessness of Triple H in all its glory. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion completely dismantled Reigns – whose face was repeatedly slammed on the announce table followed by a brutal pedigree on the steel steps.
The beatdown, it seems, has banged up Reigns to such an extent that he had to undergo surgery. WWE issued the following statement on Reigns and the reported surgery he underwent for a broken nose.
Roman Reigns underwent surgery earlier today in Tampa, Fla., to repair a shattered nose, sustained at the hands of WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H last night on Raw, WWE.com can confirm.
In a brawl after the night's main event, The Game repeatedly slammed Reigns' face into the announce desk, then Pedigreed The Big Dog onto the steel steps.
In a deja-vu sort of a situation, Triple H avenged the beatdown he received at TLC at the hands of Reigns, to inflict some non-PG punishment on the new no.1 contender fro the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Naturally, the Samona Superman was absent on the Smackdown tapings and it’s not sure whether he’d be on next week’s RAW either.
