WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar suffered an injury during Survivor Series match

Lesnar had no clue about what was about to hit him at the Survivor Series

The much-hyped encounter between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg at Survivor Series turned out to be one of the shortest main event matches ever. It took Goldberg just a little over a minute to put Lesnar’s challenge aside, as he made a successful in-ring comeback after a period of 12 years.

‘The Myth’ ended the match in just three moves – a couple of spears and a Jackhammer – after ‘The Beast Incarnate’ tried to gain an early upper hand by shoving him onto the ring post. The latter had certainly not expected such a fierce response from Goldberg, and before he could recover from the shock, he had lost the match.

However, Paul Heyman, who poses as Lesnar’s advocate, hinted at another reason behind his client conceding the Survivor Series match to Goldberg. In an interview with Michael Cole which was aired on the latest episode of Raw, Heyman alluded to the fact that an injury led to the loss.

However, he went on to say that injuries are ‘part of the game’ and there were no excuses.

According to him, ‘The Conqueror’ suffered cracked ribs after Goldberg delivered his first spear and was unable to get going after that, allowing the returning superstar to capitalise and pick up the victory. Take a look at this video to find out what Paul Heyman had to say:

On the previous episode of Raw, Goldberg had confirmed that he would be part of the Royal Rumble match at the titular pay-per-view. Heyman made it known during his conversation with Cole that Brock Lesnar will also be one of the 30 entrants in the match.

He claimed that ‘The Myth’ will merely be a victim in the Royal Rumble match, which will see the Beast and 28 other WWE superstars in action. Paul Heyman also added that Lesnar is looking to prove himself and will show a side of himself that no one has ever seen.
