WWE Rumors: Jey Uso suffering from serious ankle injury?

The Usos
Their recent heel turn has breathed new life into their characters

There is no doubt that SmackDown has contributed to some of the most interesting portions of WWE programming ever since brand split, but the blue brand is still suffering from the lack of depth on their roster.

Over an already thin roster, the likes of John Cena and Eric Rowan have missed large chunks of action due to various reasons, and now if the reports from givemesport.com are to believe, another SmackDown superstar could be taking a hiatus from the show, due to an injury.

According to the site, one-half of the former tag team champions the Usos, Jey Uso, may have suffered a serious ankle Injury. He was last seen during the November 22nd episode of SmackDown Live, where the Usos were eliminated by the American Alpha in a Tag Team Turmoil match.

After the show, Jey Uso was spotted in an airport and a video of him was posted on Instagram. In the video below he is seen being moved around in a wheelchair:

While as of yet WWE has not issued any statement on Jey's injury, the fact that he was using a wheelchair says that the injury may be a serious one. However, there has been no word yet on how much time he will miss due to this injury.

It's worth noticing here that both John Cena and Eric Rowan has been away from WWE ring for quite some time now. Cena has taken time off to pursue his other interests such as being the host of the TV reality show American Grit.

He last wrestled in a triple threat match at No Mercy back in October. On the other hand, Eric Rowan has been sidelined since early October due to a shoulder Injury which he suffered during a Live Event.

Now, if the reports of Jey's injury are true, then it couldn't have come at a worse time for the blue brand. Raw has drafted the likes of Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and more, so the blue brand is already short on star power.

With The Usos being the only veteran tag team on the blue roster, who have previously won the tag titles on main roster multiple times, they could have been used as one of the building blocks for the tag team division, helping new teams, like American Alpha, gain some momentum on the main roster.
