Rumors surface on the real reason behind Cena's time off

A TV host?

- Cena’s impending time off has been the most talked about story, when it comes to pro wrestling in general and why not as he is the most polarizing figure the WWE has at the moment.

It was noted earlier that Cena opened up about his break and when asked about the reason said that when the cat would out of the bag, everyone would acknowledge that it was a ‘good reason’. If the latest reports are to be believed, that are according to reporter and writer Scott Keith, he is supposed to be hosting a new show on FOX. Below is what Keith had to say about Cena’s hiatus and the reason behind it:

“A friend in the fitness industry is working on a fitness-themed reality show for FOX. The show is set to air in the spring. He and a few others were told this week that the filming window is set for Oct. 26 to the first or second week of January and that it will take 6-8 weeks to do everything. They also found out that the host of the show is going to be John Cena. I’m guessing this explains his rumored hiatus after HIAC.”

At this very moment, these are just speculations but some very credible ones that could very well be true as it ticks all boxes when it comes to the duration of the show and also the job at hand. John Cena has an avid interest in bodybuilding as he was a bodybuilder prior to his wrestling career, which can be understood by his buffed up physique.

It also makes sense of him not revealing the details as he might have a confidentiality clause attached to the show. In any case, Cena would be out of action for 2 months and that opens the doors for upcoming stars to shine through and show their mettle.

The floating reasons of nagging injuries and a possible wedding to Nikki Bella have all been deemed highly unlikely at this point according to trusted sources.
