WWE Rumours: Seth Rollins vs Triple H not happening at WrestleMania 33

Tha fans may not have to wait till WrestleMania to Triple vs Seth Rollins

Since the day the master turned on his protege on that refreshingly surprising episode of RAW where Kevin Owens became the WWE Universal Champion, the WWE Universe have been eagerly waiting for Triple H vs Seth Rollins to grace their TV screens. Sadly, the WWE haven’t done much to take the feud forward as Triple H himself has not turned up to justify his actions.

In case you want to relive the epic fatal four-way match for the Universal title that had the most unforeseen twist in recent memory, here it is:

But that could all change soon. Earlier reports suggested that WWE had scheduled the match to take place at WrestleMania 33 and had planned on gradually unfolding the rivalry until the grandaddy of all PPVs. However, conflicting reports have now cropped up stating that the much-anticipated bout could go on floors at the historic Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View.

WWE is under immense pressure in making Royal Rumble a grand success as it will be held at the Alamodome, which can seat around 60,000 plus fans. The much-hyped Rumble of 2017 has already been billed as a record breaker and WWE is leaving no stone unturned to satiate the fans.

Thus, WWE is reportedly planning on booking the Triple H-Rollins match for the Royal Rumble 2017, that would certainly give the ticket and PPV sales a major boost. The speculated plan currently doing the rounds is to have Rollins beat The Game at the Rumble. This would subsequently set up the rematch for WrestleMania 33 and would, in turn, solve WWE woes on filling the biggest card on the calendar with matches worthy of the platform.

Seth Rollins is all set to face Kevin Owens with the Universal title on the line at the upcoming Hell In A Cell PPV inside the dreaded steel structure. While there are no indications of Triple H possibly interfering in the match, WWE could very well book it to give the feud a legit kickstart. Whatever may be the case, Seth Rollins vs Triple H is what every fan wants to see; the sooner the better.

It wouldn't be the first time The Architect and The Cerebral Assasin would have locked horns against each other as before they faced each other when Evolution put Shield over cleanly back in 2014. Here is the epic match between the two factions from Payback 2014:
