WWE Rumours: Update on the Women's division after brand extention

The beginning of Divas Revolution

As announced by WWE, SmackDown will air live on Tuesdays, starting from July 19th. Not only that, RAW and SmackDown will again be made into separate brands with unique rosters.

The draft will be used to determine which brand a wrestler will be part of. The Women’s division will also be a part of the draft but there were rumors which hinted that women’s wrestling will be limited to any one of the two shows.

According to the latest installment of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it appears that the WWE Women's division will be featured on both RAW and SmackDown and that the possibility of having two championships for them is also quite low.

Wrestlinginc.com also notes that the officials have also decided the brand for most of the wrestlers in their active roster.

With the women’s division equally split between both the brands, WWE could be expected to cough up distinct storylines featuring these Superstars in future. Recently, the writers were criticised on social media for allowing the momentum of the Women’s division to drop off after the great triple threat match that Charlotte, Becky and Sasha had at WrestleMania 32.

Former NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, who it seems as though has been booked in a feud with Charlotte, also shared some of the fans’ posts which hint that she was also unimpressed with the booking of the women wrestlers in WWE.
