Post-WrestleMania 32 status of Shane McMahon revealed?

Here comes the money!

It was excitement galore for WWE fans during this week’s airing of Monday Night RAW, where it was revealed that WWE CEO Vince McMahon’s son Shane will be back on the franchise after a six-year hiatus and will be an integral part of WrestleMania 32. The details of the deal to bring him back have now emerged.

Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer revealed that the deal to bring Shane back was hammered out weeks ago, with the majority of WWE employees in the dark about the development. Shane’s return could pave the way for him making appearances on WWE even after the conclusion of WrestleMania.

However, there’s no news about Shane being a part of the WWE management yet, with the current hierarchy firmly intact. Word is that, back when Shane left the WWE, he was quite liked backstage, even more than Stephanie.

His latest stint is not going to be a short one as he would be sticking around after his possibly hellacious Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 32. In a possible spoiler of sorts, WWE advertised one of the RAWs after WrestleMania as Monday Night RAW vs WWE, giving rise to speculations of a possible invasion angle revolving around Shane.

The younger McMahon’s return was announced during RAW, just as Vince was handing out the Vincent J McMahon Legacy of Excellence award to his daughter Stephanie, which is when her brother appeared and made his decision to take over WWE known to his father.

Vince did agree to hand his son the keys to the company, but only if he emerged victorious against The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match during WrestleMania 32.
