WWE Smackdown results: March 5, 2015

Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler battled Luke Harper and Bad News Barrett

Washington D.C. hosted this week’s WWE Thursday Night Smackdown as seven matches were lined up for the show. Ryback was seen in a singles fight with Kane and Big Show.The three tag team matches included in the event were Los Matadores (w/ El Torito) vs Tyson Kidd & Cesaro (w/ Natalya),The New Day (w/ Xavier Woods) vs Damien Mizdow & The Miz and Dean Ambrose & Dolph Ziggler vs Luke Harper & Bad News Barrett.

Daniel Bryan was seen in a promo talking to Renee Young and he also agrees with Ziggler that ladder match could be a show stealer at WM 31.Also, the event featured WWE Divas match between AJ Lee and Brie Bella. Here are the results from the show.

Match one: Los Matadores (w/ El Torito) vs Tyson Kidd & Cesaro (w/ Natalya)

Result: Cesaro and Kidd won the tag team match against Los Matadores after Cesaro hits a Neutralizer.The match saw both teams perform well.

Match two: Ryback vs Kane

Result: In spite of an interference from Big Show, Kane lost to Ryback in a singles match.After the match, Kane announces that Big Show will be fighting with Ryback and we move to our next match.

Match three: Ryback vs Big Show

Result: This match saw an interference from Kane as he hits Ryback with a Meathook and Big Show utilizes this situation to slam a Knockout Punch to Ryback for the countdown.

Match four: AJ Lee (w/ Paige) vs Brie Bella (w/ Nikki Bella)

Result: As Nikki argues with Paige, AJ tries the Black Widow on Brie to which the latter taps out.

Match five: The New Day (w/ Xavier Woods) vs Damien Mizdow & The Miz

Result: After Miz tags into the ring, Kofi assists Big E with the slam which leads to the pinfall while Mizdow stands perplexed.

Match six: Jack Swagger vs Rusev (w/ Lana)

Result: Swagger won the singles match against Rusev and also challenges Rusev to the US title match.

Match seven: Dean Ambrose & Dolph Ziggler vs Luke Harper & Bad News Barrett

Result: Dolph Ziggler won the tag team match with Dean after a superkick followed by the Zig Zag.The match saw Ziggler in high spirits.
