TNA superstar, Matt Hardy revealed to his fans on Twitter that he was approached by a government agency, which told him that he has received thousands of votes to become the next President of United States Of America.
A government agency just contacted & informed me that I've received 1000s of votes for President of the USA.— #BROKEN Matt Hardy (@MATTHARDYBRAND) November 8, 2016
How flattering & delightful!
He further went on to confirm his candidacy via a video posted on TNA Impact Wrestling’s official Youtube channel.
His new persona, which debuted in May earlier this year, is that of a dishevelled man with a weird accent.
Hardy’s utter devotion to his character has elevated the BROKEN gimmick, which was dubbed by many as a failure right from its inception. The uncharacteristic gimmick has given fans several memorable moments, which has revived Hardy’s dying career.
His match with Jeff Hardy at Final Deletion became an instant classic. Check out the video of this epic encounter below!
Recent rumours suggested that Matt Hardy would take the whole gimmick on a bandwagon to WWE. It was quickly dispelled by Jeff Hardy, as he stated:
''If Meekmahan ever came to the Hardy compound, I would tell Meekmahan, face-to-face, you'll fade away and classify yourself as obsolete! Obsolete!"
TNA was smart to cash in on this exciting opportunity, they also brought in Jeff Hardy, adding another character to the whole charade. The Broken gimmick has been regarded as one of the greatest transformations in the entire Wrestling industry. This is probably Matt Hardy's best run in terms of singles career.
