Top WWE rumours of the week and analysis

Joe to have a big match at WrestleMania?

Rumours, as always, have been plentiful this past week. A good portion of the rumours had to do with the potential fallout from the upcoming pay-per-view, Roadblock. Apart from this, there was talk of a prominent Ring Of Honor name making his way to the WWE ranks. Royal Rumble and WrestleMania were major talking points as well.

The potential move of AJ Styles to Monday Night Raw in 2017 and the reason for it also features in this piece. In this list, we will be listing down the most exciting rumours of this past week and analysing if they are possible.

#4 Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar in the build for WrestleMania

Joe could be in for a big match at Mania

Brock Lesnar has some unfinished business with Goldberg, and the two are bound to face each other at Royal Rumble. The third fight between Goldberg and Lesnar could well be on the cards for WrestleMania, but rumours from www.morningnewsusa.com hint at a potential match between Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar.

There are several websites reporting that Joe’s debut would come at the Rumble and if that is the case, then a Lesnar – Joe match would indeed be a possibility. But then again, after what happened at Survivor Series, the third match between Goldberg and Lesnar would probably make more money rather than a Joe – Lesnar showdown.

#3 Bray Wyatt could win the Royal Rumble

Set to win the rumble?

The latter part of 2016 has been excellent for Bray Wyatt. After getting Randy Orton on his team, Bray managed to get hold of the SmackDown Tag team championship. And now, rumours from theinscribermag.com indicate that 2017 could be a great year for Bray.

There is a lot of speculation that he could win the Royal Rumble and if this is the case, Bray will have the chance to headline WrestleMania. But more importantly, winning a match which has names like Brock Lesnar and Goldberg would be a great thing to brag about in the long run. While the chances of this happening are low, this cannot be completely ignored.

#2 Baron Corbin to be in the main event scene

Main event bound?

When Baron Corbin was drafted to SmackDown, he was expected to make a name in the main event scene. Though there were some indications of this happening, his momentum soon cooled down, and he was restricted to the mid-card scene. He did not even get the promised spot in the Survivor Series match which turned out to be a huge blow.

However, things may change for the Lone Wolf as reports from CageSide Seats that suggest that Corbin could be in the main event championship picture by 2017. As we can see, SmackDown is already feeling problems with the depth of their roster and having someone like Corbin could make a lot of sense.

#1 AJ Styles moving to Raw for Bullet Club reunion

AJ could be on his way to Raw

Superstars being traded between SmackDown and Monday Night Raw is a possibility at this point of time. The brand split is still in its infancy and making such moves for improving the shows should not be met with a surprise face. This is why the rumour reported by yibada.com about AJ Styles moving to Monday Night Raw looks like a possibility.

AJ Styles moving to Raw and Seth Rollins to SmackDown are the transfers that are being speculated, as of this writing, and the later could happen for a Bullet Club reunion. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have been relegated to the mid card ever since AJ moved to SmackDown but Styles returning could definitely shake things up on the show.
