In this week’s sit-down interview with ringside commentator Michael Cole, COO Triple H talked about the NXT Takeover II Event. Here are Hunter’s comments on NXT.
- Triple H notes NXT Takeover II was the #2 most social program on prime time Thursday, including all cable and network shows.
- He's wanted NXT to become its own brand, and he feels as if it has accomplished that. Triple H compared NXT to ECW as an alternative currently but wants it to become as big as WCW and rival the WWE main roster.
- Triple H really enjoys the relationship with Full Sail University, where WWE films the NXT show. The company uses the proceeds from NXT Live events to provide scholarships for students at Full Sail University.
- Cole and Triple H close by plugging NXT again and promoting the WWE Network.
