Several reports have already stated that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is not impressed with NXT and believes most of them won’t be able to attract fans or money while on the main roster.
Vince, though, seems to be very happy with the reaction Sami Zayn received when he made his return on last Monday’s WWE RAW in Chicago and had an interaction with Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens.
Reports reveal that the Chairman of WWE has also praised Sami’s in-ring ability and wrestling skills. This is one of those rare cases, as Vince hasn’t been in favour of wrestlers with Zayn’s size.
It was acknowledged before, that despite being insanely over with the fans, Sami may never win the biggest prize of WWE or be the face of the company. But Vince putting him in an Intercontinental Championship feud speaks volumes of the change, as a shot at the title may be a career-redefining moment for him.
Regarding the intercontinental title match at WrestleMania, there are talks of it being a multi-man ladder match (just like last year’s bout). Details about the match will be revealed in the weeks following WWE Roadblock. So stay tuned for more updates on the same.
