What happened after Monday Night RAW went off air?

The ECW Originals

WWE’s way of dealing with dwindling ratings seem to be getting legends and former stars back and this week we were sent back to the good old days of extreme wrestling as Tommy Dreamer made a ‘hardcore’ return.

The ECW originals ended their segment by sending Bray through the table and surviving the usual onslaught that the Wyatt’s are known for.

Their six-man tag match was brief, but that wasn’t the only match they worked, as Tommy Dreamer, Demon Kane and the Dudley Boyz beat Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan in an eight-man tag dark match after RAW went off air.

It was Tommy Dreamer’s second match since his return and it culminated with Luke Harper being on the receiving end of a sequence of finishers from the ECW Originals and Kane. According to those who were in attendance at the venue, the fans were hot for Kane, who got the best reaction among the team.

The fans too were posed a question in a WWE poll asking them who they thought is more extreme between The Wyatts and The ECW Originals. The result was the obvious one as The Dudleys and Tommy Dreamer amassed 3,000 votes that account to 84%.

For a moment everyone one thought Spike Dudley was about to complete the family, but Dreamer’s return with a trash can full of his beloved weapons rekindled old memories. It seems we are heading for an eight man tag match for TLC with Kane joining the ECW Originals and leveling the playing field against the Wyatts.

It could also end up in a Six man tag match if WWE drops the ball on Kane.

Tommy Dreamer is back for one last hurrah and the House of Hardcore native will make sure he goes out with a bang. Hope WWE makes sure TLC, for a brief moment, gives us all ECW’s brand of extreme wrestling.

In the fallout video from RAW, Tommy Dreamer cuts a great promo highlighting his history in the business and his relationship with the Dudleys. You can watch the video below:
