The first AEW Dynamite of 2021 entitled "New Year's Smash" brought plenty of excitement to the wrestling world, highlighted by the Bullet Club reunion. AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, IMPACT Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers and AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks joined forces with the "Too Sweet" hand signal in one of the best endings to the weekly show.

Joining forces in a beatdown on Jon Moxley as well as other lower card AEW wrestlers, the former Bullet Club seemed stronger than ever. With Don Callis now referring to the unit as "The Super Elite", many fans are expecting big things from these five men on both AEW and IMPACT Wrestling.

This has brought a new level of buzz around the wrestling world. Bringing back one of the most popular groups of the past decade in an inter-promotional setting allows for different ways for things to progress. In this article, we will take a look at five directions for the Bullet Club reunion following AEW Dynamite.

#5 The Young Bucks show up at IMPACT Hard To Kill (Bullet Club reunion)

This coming Saturday, Kenny Omega will make his IMPACT Wrestling in-ring debut at the Hard To Kill pay-per-view. Teaming with Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows, the former Bullet Club members will face IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Rich Swann and The Motor City Machine Guns.

This should be a high octane encounter with the growing animosity between these six men. However, with the Bullet Club reunion that took place, it leaves the door open for the AEW World Tag Team Champions to make their presence known. The Young Bucks are former TNA stars. Then known as Generation Me, their main rivals at that time were none other than The Motor City Machine Guns.

The Young Bucks have gone on record to say that they are interested in not only appearing on IMPACT Wrestling but also reigniting their feud with Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. With more years of experience under their belts, Matt and Nick Jackson could put on even more spectacular matches against one of the best tag teams of the past decade.

Hard To Kill seems like the perfect stage for The Young Bucks to make their return to IMPACT Wrestling. Helping their Super Elite teammates would further this Bullet Club reunion and kickstart a rivalry with The Motor City Machine Guns. This seems like a perfect way to progress things after this past week.

#4 Helping Omega's belt collecting goal (Bullet Club reunion)

Before this Bullet Club reunion and upon his arrival in IMPACT Wrestling, AEW World Champion Kenny Omega made his mission known to the fans. On the December 8th episode, The Cleaner said that he wanted to collect belts around the wrestling world. Reuniting with The Good Brothers and The Young Bucks, it would seem that he has the support needed to make his goal possible.

Kenny Omega accomplished a lot as the Bullet Club leader in NJPW. Becoming IWGP Heavyweight Champion as well as defeating the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada, The Best Bout Machine has to be considered one of the greatest gaijin stars the promotion has ever seen. Now, with his friends back in his corner, he could once again dominate the wrestling world.

Whether it be the IMPACT World Championship or maybe even possibly a return back to NJPW to face his former Golden Lovers teammate for the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships, Omega is primed to become the biggest star in wrestling with the Super Elite by his side. There are strength in numbers, and Omega has now added more firepower to his arsenal.

The aforementioned return to NJPW has been the talk of a lot of speculation among fans. The Bullet Club reunion would bring a very interesting scenario if the forbidden door is finally opened.

#3 A battle of Bullet Clubs (Bullet Club reunion)

Fans of NJPW and ROH witnessed the first Bullet Club civil war back in 2018. When the growing animosity between Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes became too much, it caused a split in one of the most powerful stables in wrestling. The both men battled in two heated encounters with Rhodes and Omega picking up a win each.

Following Omega's successful IWGP Heavyweight Championship defense over Rhodes at the G1 Special in San Francisco, it seemed that everything was settled. However, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and Haku took that opportunity to excommunicate Omega, Cody and The Young Bucks from the group. Splitting The Elite from the Bullet Club proper set the stage for AEW in some way.

Since then, the two sides have not said much of one another as they were in different promotions. With the Bullet Club reunion on AEW Dynamite, Tama Tonga has let it be known that The Super Elite shouldn't be using their hand signal.

AEW's collaboration with IMPACT Wrestling has led many to question if one or both promotions might work with NJPW in the upcoming future. With Harold Meij now gone from New Japan, AEW President Tony Khan has publicly said that there is a better chance of the two companies doing a crossover of some kind. The Bullet Club reunion presents an intriguing story that could develop if so.

Karl Anderson, Tama Tonga and Bad Luck Fale were all original members of the stable, along with Finn Balor. Bullet Club was taken to new heights with Omega and The Bucks creating The Elite. The potential is endless in what could become a new civil war that could span across three different promotions. Fans would be quite excited to watch it all unfold.

#2 Blood and Guts Match (Bullet Club reunion)

Prior to the Bullet Club reunion and before the ongoing global pandemic changed wrestling completely, AEW announced the introduction of a new match concept to the promotion. In an answer to WarGames, the company was preparing to introduce the Blood and Guts Match. The two-ring steel cage structure was supposed to see The Elite battle the Inner Circle on the March 25th episode of AEW Dynamite lat year.

However, when the world changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, All Elite Wrestling decided to put the match on hold for now. The rivalry between the two stables was blown off at AEW Double Or Nothing 2020 in the Stadium Stampede Match.

Now with the Bullet Club reunion, fans have a valuable unit to re-introduce the stipulation.

This would take a few months to build to, but The Super Elite could prove themselves to be the most formidable faction across both AEW and IMPACT Wrestling. With the AEW World Championship, AEW World Tag Team Championships and IMPACT Tag Team Championships all within this Bullet Club reunion, they have quickly become a powerful group just by joining forces.

Their beatdown on Jon Moxley and others on the AEW roster as well as the upcoming Hard To Kill six-man main event has given them a huge platform to propel to more dominance. Fans could see Moxley head a group of AEW wrestlers or IMPACT World Champion Rich Swann put together a unit on IMPACT. There could even be a coming together of the two rosters to take down this Bullet Club reunion.

There is also the lingering element of Hangman Page as well. The former tag team partner and friend of Omega and The Young Bucks knows them better than anyone and could potentially be the difference-maker in taking down The Super Elite. There are also stars like Cody Rhodes and SCU who have their own separate pasts with the Bullet Club reunion to bring into play.

The Blood and Guts Match seems like the logical blowoff to this Bullet Club reunion where they could meet their first true obstacle as a group. The outcome and potential loss in this huge encounter could lead to another direction.

#1 The Super Elite drops dead weight, leading to The Young Bucks vs. The Good Brothers (Bullet Club reunion)

This Bullet Club reunion realistically could have transpired on the premiere of AEW Dynamite in October of 2019. That summer, the WWE contracts of Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows was about to expire and the duo were looking for new opportunities. In conversations with The Young Bucks, they came up with a monumental debut.

Speaking on the TalkNShop Patreon podcast, Matt Jackson revealed that The Young Bucks proposed that The Good Brothers and AJ Styles to debut on the Dynamite premiere in a Bullet Club reunion angle with The Elite. They would have done the "Too Sweet" hand signal before attacking their former stablemates.

This angle would have definitely been welcomed by the AEW fanbase, but it was not to be. The Good Brothers re-signed with WWE a few weeks later before being released in April 2020. Now with the Bullet Club reunion fans just witnessed, is there potential of this all falling apart?

One of the many dream matches that fans have asked for since this AEW and IMPACT Wrestling crossover started is a battle of former Bullet Club members, The Young Bucks vs The Good Brothers. A clash of the two promotions' tag team champions would be an intriguing matchup with a lot of possibilities.

With The Young Bucks showing apparent reluctance to join in the "Too Sweet" on AEW Dynamite, they could not be 100% with their former friends. If The Super Elite finds adversity and falls in a Blood and Guts Match, fans could witness Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers shed the dead weight by turning their backs on Matt and Nick Jackson.

The Young Bucks always work better as babyfaces and still have a rematch with FTR down the line, so joining forces with the heel stable might not be the path long-term. Going against the will of the Bullet Club reunion would bring a compelling tag team match with The Good Brothers that fans would be salivating to see.

The possibilities following this Bullet Club reunion are endless. Fans have to be excited and be awaiting to watch the next chapter in this story of The Super Elite. Depending on what is next, the directions should bring more headlines and momentum to both AEW and IMPACT Wrestling.
