AEW paid tribute to Brodie Lee on tonight's Dynamite

The night started with every member of the AEW roster and Brodie Lee's family on the entrance ramp. We had a 10 bell salute in the memory of Brodie Lee.

We saw a tribute from former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley before the first match of the night.

The Young Bucks and Colt Cabana vs. Private Party and Matt Hardy kicked off AEW Dynamite

The first match on AEW Dynamite saw Colt Cabana and The Young Bucks facing Private Party and Matt Hardy. Colt Cabana and Isiah Kassidy started the match for their respective teams. Cabana quickly took control of the match. Kassidy tried to tag out. Matt Hardy refused to tag in and suggested that Marc Quen tag in instead. The Bucks and Cabana floored Private Party and then took out Matt Hardy with a Triple dropkick.

Cabana hit a nice springboard moonsault to the outside as Matt Hardy wrested control inside the ring. Matt Hardy was stopped in his tracks by a Superkick. Marc Quen suplexed Matt Jackson and tried to pin him, but he was kicked out.

Private Party then hit a boot/atomic drop combo. Isiah Kassidy followed up with a backdrop, but it wasn't enough to get a three count. The two teams continued to go back and forth, throwing everything they had at each other.

The finish saw Private Party hit the Gin and Juice, followed by a Twist of Fate from Matt Hardy. Colt Cabana and Matt Jackson broke up the pinning attempt. Hardy then had a chair in his hand, but Quen refused to use it. This was the opening The Bucks and Cabana needed. Cabana hit the Chicago Skyline, followed by an Indytaker by The Young Bucks. Colt Cabana picked up the pin for his team.

We saw an emotional Colt Cabana and The Young Bucks after the match. They were interrupted by The Acclaimed. Before The Acclaimed caused too much trouble, they were taken out by Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian.

AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin paid tribute to Brodie Lee:

Evil Uno, Stu Grayson and Lance Archer vs. Eddiie Kingston, The Butcher and The Blade on AEW Dynamite

Lance Archer paid tribute to Brodie Lee with his ring gear on AEW Dynamite. Archer wore a vest and jeans, paying tribute to Lee's Luke Harper character in WWE, before he arrived in AEW.

Evil Uno jumped Eddie Kingston before the bell had a chance to ring. Lance Archer then slammed both Uno and Grayson onto Eddie Kingston while he was on the mat. Uno and Grayson returned the favor by suplexing Archer onto Eddie Kingston.

The Bunny grabbed Eddie Kingston's foot from ringside, giving The Butcher a chance to control the match. Grayson found an opening and hit The Blade with Brodie Lee's version of the Bossman Slam.

Evil Uno tagged back in and hit The Blade with a Swanton Bomb for a two count. Blade managed to tag out. Eddie Kingston came in and clubbed Evil Uno. They traded tags and continued to punish Evil Uno in their corner.

Evil Uno and Edde Kingston traded strikes in the middle of the ring. Uno got the better of the exchange and hit Kingston with a half and half suplex. Uno tagged Lance Archer in. Archer came in and hit The Blade with a chokeslam. Archer tried to hit a second chokeslam, but Blade managed to dodge it. Archer then walked the ropes and hit The Blade with a moonsault.

The Butcher came in without tagging, but he was shoulder charged out of the ring Archer. Things broke down at this stage as Eddie Kingston hit Stu Grayson with a DDT. It wasn't enough to keep Grayson down for the three counts. Butcher tagged in, and Grayson managed to tag out. Grayson and Evil Uno then hit the Fatality to The Blade and pinned him on AEW Dynamite.

John Silver, Alex Reynolds and Hangman Page vs. Santana, Ortiz, and MJF on AEW Dynamite

John Silver and Alex Reynolds paid tribute to Mr. Brodie Lee before the match began by throwing papers at Santana and Ortiz on AEW Dynamite.

Hangman Page and MJF officially started the match for his team. Page threw papers at MJF, who rolled out of the ring and tagged Ortiz in. John Silver tagged in for his team. Santana also made the tag, and he caught Silver with a springboard crossbody. Reynolds tagged in and caught Santana with a sunset flip.

Page and MJF soon came in as the legal men. Hangman hit MJF with a Fallaway Slam before diving over the top rope and taking out Santana. Page looked to set up the Buckshot Lariat, but MJF rolled out of the ring. The Inner Circle members then hit Page with a triple team move, but he kicked out at 2.

MJF then hit Hangman Page with a stalling vertical suplex. Santana came in as the legal man and hit Page with a standing moonsault off Ortiz's back. It wasn't enough to get the three count.

The Inner Circle members continued to trade tags, but Page finally found an opening to tag John Silver. Silver was all over Santana and Ortiz, taking out both men. Silver followed it up with an incredible burst of offense, taking out all three Inner Circle members. Santana took out Silver with a cutter as things broke down.

Wardlow came into the ring as the referee was distracted. Brodie Lee's former tag team partner Erick Redbeard aka Erick Rowan, came out of the back, making his AEW debut, to drive Wardlow away.

MJF tried to antagonize Brodie Lee Jr. at ringside. Brodie Jr got his revenge and hit MJF in the head with a kendo stick, much to the delight of the AEW crowd.

Back in the ring, John Silver finished Ortiz off with Brodie Lee's trademark Discus Clothesline to finish him off and pin him on AEW Dynamite.

We saw an emotional tribute to Brodie Lee from Erick Redbeard after the match. He has arrived in AEW.

"99" Anna Jay and Tay Conti vs. Penelope Ford and Dr. Britt Baker on AEW Dynamite

Anna Jay and Penelope Ford started the match off on AEW Dynamite. It was a great start from Anna Jay but Baker and Ford took control of the match after Tay Conti tagged in. Ford put the boot into Tay Conti in the corner before following it up with stiff right hands. Ford and Conti ended up taking each other out with simultaneous pump kicks.

Anna Jay tagged in and floored Britt Baker before following it up with a neck breaker. Penelope Ford came in from behind and hit Anna Jay with a backstabber. Tay Conti came in and took out Ford. Anna Jay then hit Britt Baker with a boot before she paid tribute to Brodie Lee.

Britt Baker caught Anna Jay from behind but wasn't able to get the pinfall. Jay then locked in the Queenslayer on Penelope Ford. Tay Conti took out Britt Baker as she was about to break up the hold. Ford was forced to tap out.

Thunder Rosa appeared in AEW again and attacked Dr. Britt Baker after the match. Referees had to come out and separate them.

Cody Rhodes, Orange Cassidy and "10" vs. Brian Cage, Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs on AEW Dynamite

Powerhouse Hobbs and Cody Rhodes started the match on AEW Dynamite. Hobbs immediately floored Cody with a shoulder charge before tagging in Ricky Starks. Starks and Cody went back and forth, with Starks getting the better of the exchange early on.

10 tagged himself in, and he overpowered Starks and took him down with a shoulder charge. He followed it up with a German Suplex to Starks, forcing him to tag Hobbs in. 10 tagged in Orange Cassidy. Hobbs wasn't happy with Cassidy's shtick and hit him with a spinning power slam.

Brian Cage then tagged in, tossing Orange Cassidy around like a rag doll. Team Taz traded tags as they continued punishing Orange Cassidy.

Cassidy finally reached his corner and tagged Cody in. Cody was all over Ricky Starks before tagging in 10. The Dark Order member nailed Rick Starks with a power slam before following it up with a powerbomb. Starks hit back with a spear, but Orange Cassidy broke up the pinfall.

Cassidy followed it up with a DDT to Ricky Starks. 10 then came in and clubbed Brian Cage, sending him out of the ring. Ricky Starks blindsided 10 with a DDT, but he managed to kick out.

Cody then hit Ricky Starks with a Cross Rhodes, and 10 followed it up with a spinebuster to pin Ricky Starks on AEW Dynamite.

Team Taz was not happy with the loss and jumped the babyfaces after the match. Then, Darby Allin and Sting came out through the AEW crowd to make the save.


The night's final segment saw Brodie Lee Jr and Amanda Huber come down to the ring with "10", Cody and Tony Khan. Brodie Jr. laid down his father's boots inside the ring. Tony Khan then presented him with an AEW TNT Championship belt in memory of the late Brodie Lee.

AEW Dynamite ended with a special video tribute to Mr. Brodie Lee.
