AEW Full Gear 2019: where are they now?

Full Gear 2019 was a showcase for future champions
Full Gear 2019 was a showcase for future champions

As we enjoy AEW's third annual Full Gear event, it is both natural and intriguing to take a deeper look into the history surrounding it. AEW have made a point of stacking their PPV cards with sheer talent and exciting tales to tell.

Full Gear 2021 is no different, offering a seemingly never-ending conveyor belt of potential instant classics and iconic moments. But let's take a look back at the inaugural Full Gear, when AEW was in its infancy, and observe all the changes that two years can make.

#8 Britt Baker vs. Bea Priestley - From Full Gear Buy In to defending AEW Women's World Champion

youtube-cover

Britt Baker and Bea Priestley clashed on the Buy In to the Full Gear Pay-Per-View, with the Good Doctor emerging as the winner following a Lockjaw submission. She has since witnessed a meteoric rise in the AEW Women's Division, capped off by defeating Hikaru Shida for the Women's Championship.

She is now a cornerstone of AEW programming and a leading name in women's wrestling in general, and heads into Full Gear 2021 to defend her title against number one contender Tay Conti.

Bea Priestley, on the other hand, found success away from AEW. Priestley was released from her AEW contract in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic restricting her from being able to travel to the United States.

In 2020 she defeated Momo Watanabe to win the vacant SWA World Championship. She won the Goddess of Stardom Champion in the tag division with Jamie Hayter and Konami during her time with Japanese women's wrestling promotion, World Wonder Ring Stardom.

Outside of Stardom, Priestley debuted for New Japan Pro Wrestling, aiding Will Ospreay to betray Kazuchika Okada during G1 Climax 30. When Ospreay left CHAOS and established United Empire, Priestley was a founding member.

She departed New Japan at the end of her contract this year, receiving a Cutter from Ospreay and ejected from the United Empire faction.

Priestley signed with WWE in July 2021 and now performs under the ring name of Blair Davenport, where she is 3-0 on the NXT UK brand.

#7. Santana and Ortiz vs. The Young Bucks - An AEW tag team division showcase

youtube-cover

Santana and Ortiz debuted for AEW heading into Full Gear in 2019, aligning with Chris Jericho to found the Inner Circle. At this year's pay-per-view, they'll face The Men of the Year and American Top Team in a Minneapolis Street Fight.

Santana and Ortiz would emerge victorious against the Young Bucks, before losing in a street fight rematch a month later. The duo have since been featured prominently alongside their Inner Circle stable mates, although they have struggled to find success on their own.

At Double or Nothing 2020, they participated in the first Stadium Stampede match as the Inner Circle lost to the Elite faction consisting of Kenny Omega, Adam Page, Matt Hardy and the Young Bucks.

When MJF and Wardlow joined the Inner Circle, tensions were high and in an attempted blow-off, there was an inter-faction three-way tag match. MJF and Jericho defeated both Santana, Ortiz, Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara.

The former LAX members also lost a tag team battle royal won by MJF and Jericho before they unsuccessfully challenged the Young Bucks to a trilogy match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

After failing to capture the titles, MJF and Wardlow defected to establish another faction, the Pinnacle, who feuded with the Inner Circle. Santana and Ortiz have since been a part of the first ever Blood and Guts Match, as the Inner Circle were defeated by the Pinnacle, and the second Stadium Stampede Match seeing scores settled.

The Young Bucks lost in their Full Gear encounter with Santana and Ortiz, but would get their win back in a Street Fight. The Young Bucks would then go on to unsuccessfully challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championship against SCU a week after their Full Gear win, and once again at Revolution 2020 against Adam Page and Kenny Omega before they once again come to blows with Santana and Ortiz in the previously mentioned Stadium Stampede Match where they won alongside the rest of the Elite.

At Full Gear 2020, they would challenge AEW World Tag Team Champions in a dream match where they would finally lift the gold. They defended the titles against the best the tag division had to offer; as previously mentioned, they were victorious in title defenses against both Proud and Powerful and their Inner Circle stable mates MJF and Chris Jericho.

youtube-cover

Their reign saw the Bucks defeat all combinations of Death Triangle (Lucha Brothers, Penta and PAC, Fenix and PAC), the Acclaimed, the Sydal Brothers, Varsity Blondes, Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley, and Jurassic Express as well as forever splitting the Addiction tandem of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian.

During their time as champions they turned heel with Elite faction mate and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, joining the Super Elite consisting of Omega, the Bucks, Don Callis, Impact Tag Team Champions the Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows), Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa.

At All Out 2021 they were defeated in a steel cage match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship by the Lucha Brothers, ending their reign.

Later that night, Adam Cole debuted for AEW, joining the Super Elite and reuniting with the Matt and Nick as the SuperKliq trio. Full Gear 2021 will see the SuperKliq trio take on Jurassic Express and Christian Cage in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

#6 Adam Page vs PAC - Future AEW World Champions?

youtube-cover

PAC suffered his first singles loss in AEW in his clash with Adam Page at Full Gear 2019, losing by pinfall before defeating Page by submission in their Dynamite rematch to end their feud.

PAC would feud with Kenny Omega, then Orange Cassidy, defeating Cassidy by pinfall at Revolution 2020 and forming Death Triangle with the Lucha Brothers by attacking Cassidy and the Best Friends (Trent and Chuck Taylor).

At Revolution 2021, PAC teamed up with his Death Triangle team-mate Rey Fenix to win a Casino Battle Royale Match for a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship held by the Young Bucks.

They were unsuccessful in their challenge, and PAC went back to singles pursuits as he faced Orange Cassidy for a shot at AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. After a double count-out draw, the title shot was offered to both PAC and Cassidy in a three way at Double or Nothing 2021, where Omega retained.

PAC's next battle after that was alongside Penta El Zero of Death Triangle once again for the Young Bucks' tag titles, but they failed once again. PAC has been embroiled in a feud with Andrade El Idolo, stemming from their clash on an episode of Rampage, where PAC suffered a loss through interference from Chavo Guerrero.

PAC has since seen his feud with Andrade cross streams with the feud between Malakai Black and Cody, and as such AEW Full Gear 2021 will see PAC and Cody vs Malakai Black and Andrade.

Following his win over PAC at Full Gear 2019, Adam Page would lose the rematch via submission to end the feud. After the feud, Page would compete in the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal to decide the challengers for the Dynamite Diamond Ring; MJF and Page were determined as the challengers and contested a week later for the title, with MJF the victor.

Page would find success in his tag team with Kenny Omega when they challenged AEW World Tag Team Champions Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian of SCU, winning the titles on a Dynamite taping on Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea.

They would defend the belts once again against SCU, and against the Young Bucks, Lucha Brothers, the Nightmare Family, the Dark Order, Private Party, Best Friends and Jurassic Express.

Hangman would have a starring moment in the Stadium Stampede Match with the Elite against the Inner Circle as he rode a horse into battle; Page's tag partner Kenny Omega won the match for the Elite by pinning Guevara.

The win was little reprieve from the tensions seen to be rising between the members of the Elite faction and after Page cost them their shot at the AEW tag titles, the Young Bucks ejected him from the faction.

Page and Omega would lose their AEW tag titles to FTR at All Out 2020, and Omega would abandon his partner to pursue singles glory. Adam Page and Kenny Omega were positioned on opposite brackets of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament and as a result faced each other in the final at AEW Full Gear 2020. Kenny Omega defeated his former partner to challenge for the belt while Page had lost his way.

Adam Page found friends in the Dark Order but rejected their official offer to be a part of the group, feeling like he was destined for a repeat of the Elite dissolution. He then feuded with Matt Hardy when he tried to take advantage of Page's low-point for financial gain; the feud culminated with a match between the two at AEW Revolution 2021 where Page defeated Hardy for all of the latter's first-quarter earnings.

Page would further defeat Brian Cage at Double or Nothing 2021 before teaming up with the Dark Order to take on the Super Elite in a 10 Man Elimination Tag match.

Page was last eliminated in defeat and after a beatdown would take paternity leave, returning as the Joker entrant and eventual winner of the Casino Ladder Match to determine a challenger for AEW World Champion Kenny Omega at Full Gear. Adam Page will now face his former tag partner, Elite cohort and friend for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear 2021.

#5 Shawn Spears vs Joey Janela - Chairman of AEW vs The Bad Boy

youtube-cover

Shawn Spears defeated Joey Janela in their clash at Full Gear, in a feud stemming from Tully Blanchard taking a dislike to the latter on an episode of Being The Elite. Shawn Spears has maintained a positive win/loss ratio in the two years since his victory over Janela, but hasn't seen much success in the way of gold.

He aligned with FTR and Tully Blanchard by helping the former Revival defeat Jurassic Express before being revealed by MJF as a member of the Pinnacle, alongside MJF, Wardlow, FTR and Blanchard.

He has since featured in the faction's Blood and Guts win against the Inner Circle and was pinned by Sammy Guevara in a Stadium Stampede rematch loss at AEW Double or Nothing 2021. Spears lost to Chris Jericho during the "5 Labours of Jericho" where Spears was allowed to use a steel chair, adhering to his moniker of the "Chairman".

He teams regularly with and was recently announced by MJF as Wardlow's "accountabili-buddy," giving the impression we are going to see Spears and Wardlow as a more permanent team.

While Spears is not a featured name on the AEW Full Gear 2021 card, it's likely we will see some involvement in the match between MJF and Darby Allin.

Following his Full Gear loss, Janela found the best of his success in AEW alongside Sonny Kiss in tag team action during 2020. He would capture the comedic DDT Iron Man Heavy Metal Title held by inflatable doll, Yoshihiko, at GCW Homecoming Part 1 in July 2020.

His reign wouldn't last long as he dropped the belt to ACH in August 2020 at GCW Keep in Touch. He would wrestle Brian Myers to a no contest at WrestlePro before teaming with him to take the WrestlePro Tag Team Championship off of The Amazing Graysons.

Janela challenged Darby Allin for the AEW TNT Championship earlier this year on Dynamite, and Ricky Shane Page for the GCW Heavyweight Championship at Take Kare, and has recently faced legend Minoru Suzuki at GCW The Aftermatch, with all three high-profile clashes ending in defeat.

#4 SCU vs Lucha Brothers vs Private Party - AEW World Tag Team Championship

youtube-cover

SCU (Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian) started their reign as AEW World Tag Team Champions against the Lucha Brothers and Private Party retaining at Full Gear 2021.

The episode of Dynamite following Full Gear saw SCU face Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara with the titles on the line, where SCU retained, and on Dynamite two weeks later Scorpio Sky was unsuccessful in challenging Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship.

SCU would again retain their belts in their defense against the Young Bucks, before eventually losing them to Kenny Omega and Adam Page and once again in a rematch. Not too long after their title loss, we started to see Scorpio Sky switch focus to his singles career, challenging Cody for the TNT Championship in an open challenge.

youtube-cover

Sky and Kazarian would once more challenge for the belts when FTR held them, in a losing effort. At AEW Revolution 2021, Scorpio Sky won the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match for a shot at the TNT title, which came in a losing effort to Darby Allin.

Sky would turn heel by holding Allin in a submission and refusing to let go, further aligning with the incoming Ethan Page to form The Men of the Year. After they cost Darby Allin the TNT title with a savage attack, they looked to face Allin and his mentor Sting in a Street Fight at AEW Double or Nothing 2021, where they suffered their first defeat as a team.

Sky will team with Ethan Page, Andrei Arlovski, Junior Dos Santos and Dan Lambert against the Inner Circle at Full Gear 2021.

Sky's singles pursuits left Frankie Kazarian without a certain trajectory for a while, with his focus remaining on tag team success alongside long-time partner Christopher Daniels.

Together they would work their way through the AEW tag team rankings, wagering their future as a tag team together as motivation to succeed. Kazarian and Daniels made their eventual date with the AEW World Tag Team Champions, the Young Bucks, earlier this year on a May episode of Dynamite.

In defeat, the legendary tag team duo of Daniels and Kazarian, the Addiction, met their end in the title match and once again left Kazarian without a partner and a definitive trajectory. Kazarian has spent the time since his split from Daniels as the "Elite Hunter", focusing on a singles career and on/off feuding with the Elite.

The Lucha Brothers were unsuccessful in their attempt to become the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions against SCU before their shortcoming once again at Full Gear.

Heading into the match the Lucha Brothers were already House of Glory Tag Team Champions and AAA World Tag Team Champions and, as a result, hunted their third simultaenous title reign.

The Lucha Brothers were victorious in a December Dynamite clash against titleholders Adam Page and Kenny Omega, earning them a title shot against them in February where they once again failed to seal the deal.

youtube-cover

The Lucha Brothers would align with PAC to form the trio of Death Triangle, with Fenix and Penta teaming with PAC separately to challenge for the AEW tag titles to no success. At All Out 2021, the Lucha Brothers faced the Young Bucks in a Steel Cage Match for the tag titles, where they would finally win the allusive belts.

They have been involved in feuds with Andrade alongside PAC, and now FTR as they were enlisted by Andrade to upset the Lucha Brothers for the AAA World Tag Team Championship; they head into Full Gear ready to defend once more against FTR, this time for their AEW tag titles.

Individually, Penta and Fenix were pitted against each other in the 2020 World Title Eliminator Tournament, with Fenix winning to advance to the next round. An injury forced Fenix to pull out and Penta was announced as his replacement for the match against eventual tournament winner Kenny Omega.

youtube-cover

This was called back on when Fenix faced Omega for the AEW World Championship at New Year's Smash, in a losing effort. Penta teamed with Eddie Kingston earlier this year in a Street Fight for the AEW tag titles against the Young Bucks which they lost.

Private Party were unsuccessful in unseating SCU as champs at Full Gear, and would later lose in their challenge to the Lucha Brothers for the House of Glory Tag Team Championship in December 2019. They would challenge once again for the AEW tag titles, this time against Page and Omega, at Fyter Fest 2020 to fall short.

As part of the working relationship between AEW and Impact Wrestling we saw Private Party face and lose to Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a No Surrender 2021 Impact Tag Team Championship three-way also involving Chris Sabin and James Storm. They have done nothing of note as of late but their alignment with Matt Hardy and the HFO sees them regularly featured in feuds with Hardy's foes.

#3 Riho vs Emi Sakura - Where is the first AEW Women's Champion two years later?

youtube-cover

Riho successfully defended her AEW Women's title against Emi Sakura in her last defense of 2019 at Full Gear, before kicking off 2020 with defenses against Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida and Nyla Rose in a four-way and Kris Statlander the week after that. Her run as AEW Women's Champion came to an end in February 2020 against Nyla Rose.

At Revolution 2021 Riho and Thunder Rosa teamed in a losing effort to Maki Itoh and Britt Baker and then at Double or Nothing 2021, Riho challenged Serena Deeb for her NWA Women's Championship, but Deeb retained.

But for a role in a trios tag match against Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter and Rebel (Not Reba) alongside Ruby Soho and Kris Statlander on Rampage, Riho has been racking up wins on AEW Dark.

Emi Sakura would lose in what has thus far been her last challenge for the Women's Championship, and has been a regular feature in the women's division on AEW Dark.

#2 Chris Jericho vs Cody - Cody's last challenge for the AEW World Championship

youtube-cover

Chris Jericho retained his AEW World Championship against Cody at Full Gear 2019, before challenging SCU on the following episode of Dynamite for their AEW World Tag Team Championship with Sammy Guevara.

Despite losing the tag title match, Jericho would retain against Scorpio Sky in singles action to carry his reign into 2020. The Painmaker returned to NJPW to beat Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 14 before hosting his Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea to kick off 2020 and then dropping the AEW title to Jon Moxley at Revolution.

At Double or Nothing 2020, Jericho would lead his Inner Circle faction against the Elite in the Stadium Stampede Match, where Omega beat Guevara for the Elite. Le Champion lost a Mimosa Mayhem gimmick match to Orange Cassidy at All Out 2020. While MJF campaigned to be a part of the Inner Circle, Y2J wagered that should he lose their Full Gear 2020 match, then his wish would be granted.

MJF was the victor as such, received his induction to the Inner Circle alongside enforcer Wardlow. The two would frequently tag team to success and when tensions threatened the sanctity of the faction, MJF and Jericho were the victors in a blow-off three-way match against faction members Santana and Ortiz, and Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara.

MJF and Jericho won a tag team battle royal to determine contenders for the Young Bucks' AEW World Tag Team Championship reign, but lost their resultant match at Revolution 2021.

Failure to capture the gold would spell the end of MJF and Jericho as a tag team and MJF's involvement with the Inner Circle altogether, when he defected to form the Pinnacle.

The Pinnacle challenged the faction to the first ever Blood and Guts Match, where the former WWE Champion was thrown from the top of the structure by MJF. The Inner Circle would once again face off against the Pinnacle in a Stadium Stampede Match at Double or Nothing 2021, where they emerged victorious.

Y2J wanted MJF one-on-one but would have to undergo the "5 Labours of Jericho", where-in Jericho had to endure and outlast four different opponents with four different stipulations in order to receive his grudge match.

Jericho's first match was against Pinnacle member Shawn Spears, who was allowed to use a chair in the match as per the stipulation and his nickname, where he won to proceed.

His second challenge was former GCW Heavyweight Champion Nick Gage in a Deathmatch, which Jericho emerged victorious yet bloody and bruised.

youtube-cover

The third match came against a foe from the past, Juventud Guerrera, who he overcame to move onto his fourth labour against Wardlow. A win against Wardlow ensured that he had all the momentum heading into his fifth and final labour against MJF, who had banned everything Judas-related up to and including the Judas Effect finisher.

During a lapse in concentration, Y2J almost hit the forbidden finisher in the match and would lose to MJF before getting a rematch at All Out 2021 with his career on the line, which he won to end the feud.

Jericho and the Inner Circle are currently feuding with the Men of the Year and American Top Team, and are scheduled to face them in a Minneapolis Street Fight at Full Gear 2021.

Cody lost this match to spell the end of his World Championship pursuits, when MJF turned on the American Nightmare to throw the towel in and deliver a post-match low blow.

The grandson of a plumber would feud with MJF and angle for a grudge match, with MJF offering the match under three conditions: He would receive leather belt lashings, beat Wardlow in a Cage Match and leave MJF unharmed in the build-up.

youtube-cover

After satisfying all three conditions, he set up his match with MJF for Revolution 2020, but failed to win. Cody entered and reached the final of the tournament to be crowned the inaugural AEW TNT Champion, facing Lance Archer for the title at Double or Nothing 2020.

He beat Lance Archer in the final and was presented the championship by boxing legend Mike Tyson, becoming the first ever TNT Champion. He would cement his reign with an open challenge, inviting names like Jungle Boy, Ricky Starks and Sonny Kiss to test themselves for the gold, before being destroyed by the late Brodie Lee to lose the championship and take a hiatus.

Cody would return to take the TNT Championship in a Dog Collar Match to become the first ever two-time TNT Champion.

The American Nightmare once again lost the TNT Championship, this time at Full Gear 2020 to Darby Allin. He briefly feuded with Team Tazz alongside Darby, and against QT Marshall and former Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo.

He has been feuding with Malakai Black, losing their saga 2-1, and heads into AEW Full Gear 2021 in a tag team with PAC against common foes Andrade and Black, among appearances (allegedly) as Fuego II in tag team action with Fuego Del Sol on AEW Dark.

#1 Kenny Omega vs Jon Moxley - The Lights Out Match that landed AEW a fine

youtube-cover

In a match that reinstated Jon Moxley as an extremophile in AEW, the former Lunatic Fringe endured a night of sadistic violence against Kenny Omega and emerged the victor.

Moxley would continue to pick up wins in AEW in the weeks following and, on Night 1 at Wrestle Kingdom 14, would unseat Lance Archer in a Texas Deathmatch to reclaim the IWGP US Championship that was stripped of him by NJPW. On Night 2 of Wrestle Kingdom 14 Moxley would retain against Juice Robinson and he would go back to AEW to rack up more wins.

He defended the IWGP US Championship in a hard-fought encounter with Minoru Suzuki before converting his immense AEW record to a title opportunity at Revolution 2020, where he defeated AEW World Champion Chris Jericho for his first world title since the WWE Championship in 2016.

youtube-cover

Kenny Omega already held the AAA Mega Championship coming into his Full Gear 2019 brutality. The Best Bout Machine enjoyed tag team success with Adam Page, winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship against SCU.

The Cleaner would enjoy successful singles and tag title defenses against the likes of Sammy Guevara and the Young Bucks before joining his Elite faction in winning the first ever Stadium Stampede Match at Double or Nothing 2020 against the Inner Circle.

As relationships within the Elite faction grew unstable, Omega and Page would lose their tag titles to FTR and Omega would abandon the tag team to pursue singles success.

After reaching the World Title Eliminator Tournament Final at Full Gear 2020, including a 25 second win against Sonny Kiss, it was set for Adam Page to stand in front of Kenny Omega to determine the next challenger for Jon Moxley.

Omega defeated Page to win the tournament and set a Full Gear 2019 rematch against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship.

On the Winter is Coming Dynamite episode the challenger aligned with Don Callis to dethrone Jon Moxley to become the third-ever AEW World Champion, announcing that he would be present on Impact Wrestling to tell-all.

youtube-cover

Kenny Omega would defend the AAA Mega Championship at Triplemania XXVIII against Laredo Kid, and reunite with the Good Brothers on Impact as he set his eyes on another world title.

At AEW Revolution 2021, Kenny Omega would survive an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match against Jon Moxley, thanks to Super Elite interference, to keep his championship.

The Death Match conclusion saw Eddie Kingston emerge as a human shield for Jon Moxley, even if the eventual explosion didn't warrant the sentiment. The pair celebrated their reunion and began operating as a tag team.

At Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2021, Kenny Omega captured the Impact World Championship (Unified with the TNA Heavyweight Championship) in a Title vs Title Match that also saw his AEW World Championship on the line. In winning the match, Omega had succeeded in holding three different world championships sanctioned by three different promotions at one time.

He would defend his AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy and PAC in a three-way match at Double or Nothing 2021, and the Impact World Championship against Sami Callihan at Slammiversary 2021 before losing the Impact world title on an August episode of Rampage to Christian Cage.

At AAA Triplemania XXIX Omega would defend the AAA Mega Championship against Andrade El Idolo and then his AEW World Championship once again against Christian Cage at All Out 2021.

Kenny Omega recently wrestled Bryan Danielson to a time limit draw in a non-title bout and heads into Full Gear 2021 preparing for a rematch with Adam Page for the AEW World Championship he holds.

Since losing the world title to Kenny Omega, Moxley has been responsible for a large influx of New Japan talent coming to AEW. He first defended his IWGP US title against KENTA (FKA Hideo Itami) at NJPW The New Beginning USA, following a tag team clash between KENTA & Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley & Lance Archer on Dynamite.

He would later defend the belt against Yuji Nagata on Dynamite before his reunion with Eddie Kingston saw the pair challenge the Young Bucks at Double or Nothing 2021, failing to claim the AEW tag titles.

Moxley would defend his IWGP US title against Karl Anderson before eventually losing to Lance Archer at Fyter Fest 2021 in a Texas Death Match. At NJPW Resurgence, Moxley teamed with former adversary Yuji Nagata to take on the Good Brothers only to lose.

At GCW The Art of War Games, Moxley answered an open challenge from GCW Heavyweight Champion Matt Cardona and subsequently captured the title, adding yet another world title to his resume.

The next day at All Out 2021, Moxley defeated NJPW legend Satoshi Kojima before Minoru Suzuki revealed himself to stage a clash on the following Dynamite. Moxley defeated Suzuki but their feud would continue when Suzuki was "enraged and disrespected" by having his ring entrance Kaze Ni Nare interrupted.

In a Suzuki-Gun reunion, Lance Archer and Suzuki faced Moxley and Kingston in a Lights Out Tag Match on Rampage Grand-Slam, with Mox and Kingston winning this time out.

Former GCW Heavyweight Champion Nick Gage challenged Moxley for the title at their headline GCW Fight Club, with the champion retaining in the dream match. Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki beat Moxley and Kingston in a Street Fight rematch on NJPW Strong.
