#5 Daniel Bryan's AEW debut moved up to All Out?

We got a big update regarding Daniel Bryan's AEW debut from Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net. Bryan was originally rumored to be debuting at the Grand Slam event on September 22nd. However, due to stricter COVID-19 mandates in New York, it looks like the company has made the decision to bring forward his debut to All Out, which is taking place in Chicago, IL, on September 5th.

Haynes also added that bringing up Bryan's debut would also help Tony Khan's promotion capitalize on the hype from CM Punk's debut:

"After speaking with multiple sources within AEW, I can now confirm that the company has upped plans for Bryan Danielson’s debut. The new plan I was told is for Danielson to debut at AEW’s All Out PPV on September 5th, 2021. I had initially heard this rumor a couple weeks back, but was able to confirm the plan with multiple sources."
"I was also told that the decision was made after concern continued to grow internally over covid-19, as mandates and restrictions have tighten in New York. So unless the decide to push the debut even further to TNT, it looks as though Danielson’s debut is a lock for Chicago," said Haynes.

We already got a hint from Punk about Daniel Bryan potentially signing with All Elite Wrestling earlier this week on Dynamite. You can check that out HERE.

#4 Oscar wants to see a new 'Wyatt Family' in AEW

The Wyatt Family were a populain WWE
The Wyatt Family were a popular faction in WWE

Over the last couple of weeks, there have been a number of rumors linking Bray Wyatt with a move to AEW. Wyatt, who was surprisingly released by WWE last month, could be headed to All Elite Wrestling when his non-compete ends.

Oscar, who managed the popular faction Men on a Mission, was recently asked about the possibility of Wyatt and Braun Stowman joining forces with Erick Rowan in AEW to form a new Wyatt Family. The WWE veteran said that he would love to see this and said he trusted Tony Khan's promotion to do justice to the faction if they went in this creative direction.

He also stressed that AEW needs to sign Wyatt and Strowman before WWE realizes that they made a mistake by releasing them.

"It's all in the scripting and I think AEW... I'm not saying they have mastered it but I think AEW is doing a good job. I believe there's still a learning curve but I do believe they will find a scenario where it makes sense so I would sign them, number one, before WWE decide 'we made a mistake letting Strowman go and maybe we need to get him back' which they are very known to do stuff like that, i mean you know it and I know it. I would definitlely snatch him up first, you know, the same thing with Bray Wyatt. I think somebody's going to wake up and say we need to get that acquisition back in our fold," said Oscar.

Former Wyatt Family member and AEW star Brodie Lee passed away last year. Lee was a close friend of Bray Wyatt and we could see the latter pay tribute to his friend in some way if he signs for the company.

#3 Update on Chris Jericho's AEW contract

We recently got an update on Chris Jericho's AEW contract situation from Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer revealed that Jericho signed a three-year deal with All Elite Wrestling in 2019, adding that his deal with the company will be up in January 2022.

However, Meltzer did add that there is a one-year contract extension option on Jericho's contract. At this point, he is definitely expected to stay with Tony Khan's promotion.

Chris Jericho is set to face MJF at All Out and has put his in-ring career in AEW on the line.

#2 Daniel Bryan shows off new look ahead of rumored AEW debut

We got a glimpse of Daniel Byran's new look in a photo shared by his wife Brie Bella on Instagram. As we mentioned earlier on in this article. Byran is currently expected to make his debut at All Out on September 5th.

Bryan's last WWE match came earlier this year on SmackDown where he lost to Roman Reigns in a Universal Championship match.

#1 AEW President Tony Khan opens up about Sting and Christian Cage's backstage attitude

AEW President and CEO Tony Khan was recently a guest on the Le Batard and Friends podcast. During the interview, Khan opened up about some of the company's major signings including Sting and Christian Cage. he said that both legends had wrestled more than expected and had nothing but praise for their backstage attitude:

"Christian and Sting have both wrestled more than they probably thought they would have when they came back. They have both been huge headline stars for us. And I just can't put over their attitude or their mindset enough," said Tony Khan.

Khan also opened up about his relationship with Sting behind the scenes and how they have become close. He also gave props to The Icon for helping AEW's ratings during the pandemic:

"I had no idea Sting would become available. I had no idea that Sting would be so interested in coming to work in AEW and that we'd become so close, so quickly. We built a great relationship and he's come in and been so important to our success and through the pandemic, helped build a lot of interest, get us really hot and in this position," said Tony Khan.

Sting has wrestled in three matches in All Elite Wrestling already. Christian Cage recently beat Kenny Omega to win the IMPACT World Championship on the debut of Rampage. He will now challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at All Out.
