"That may change" - Bryan Danielson ponders his future in wrestling after AEW deal is up

Bryan Danielson made the jump from WWE to AEW last year, debuting at All Out in September. The American Dragon has since initiated a career renaissance as a permanent fixture of All Elite programming.

In just six months, Bryan has outwrestled Eddie Kingston and Miro in tournament action, fought to a grueling time-limit draw against Kenny Omega, and tore the house down in two challenges for Hangman Page's AEW World Championship.

Speaking with Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan has addressed his future after his current contract is up. He described a desire to wrestle for a little longer, however he did concede that wouldn't be on a full-time basis:

"We’re all being smarter with our training and technology and health and the health profession is better. We’re better able to take care of ourselves. I believe I’ll be able to wrestle for a long period of time and I kind of aspire to wrestle for a long period of time, but don’t want to wrestle full-time after this contract is up. That may change once this contract is up. This contract may be up and it’s like, ‘well, I still have the itch to do it.’ I don’t want to miss out on my kids’ lives." (H/T Fightful)

As it stands, Bryan's desire to be a hands-on father outweighs the risk carried if he continues on a full-time basis, as he says he plans for his current run to be his last of that nature.

Bryan Danielson will continue his partnership with Jon Moxley on this week's AEW Dynamite

Jon Moxley's return piqued the interest of the American Dragon, who at first seemed intent on starting a feud with his fellow WWE alum. However, Bryan soon made his intention to form an alliance clear.

Moxley pushed the possibility aside, proclaiming that he doesn't stand with anyone unless he bleeds with them first. The pair of former WWE champions then clashed at AEW Revolution, where Mox squeaked out a win over The American Dragon.

The two continued to brawl after the match, and it seemed as though any chance of an alliance was broken. That is, until William Regal appeared and slapped sense into both of them.

Under Regal's guidance, the two tagged this past week on AEW Dynamite, beating the Workhorsemen duo of JD Drake and Anthony Henry. The new faction has also been confirmed to appear on this week's St. Patrick's Day Slam, where they will face Wheeler Yuta and Chuck Taylor.
