6 AEW Stars who are in a relationship with wrestlers from other promotions
A few AEW stars are currently in a relationship with wrestlers working in other promotions. Today, there are many couples in the wrestling industry. A few of these couples currently share the WWE locker room, like Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Others also work together in AEW, like Adam Cole and Britt Baker.
Some couples don't have the privilege of working in the same company. A few All Elite stars are currently dating/married to talents who work for other wrestling promotions, such as IMPACT Wrestling.
While the partners of a few of these wrestlers have made appearances for Tony Khan's promotion, others have never worked for the company. Here are six AEW wrestlers who are in a relationship with wrestlers in other promotions:
#6 AEW's Andrade El Idolo
Charlotte Flair is a second-generation wrestler, carrying forward the legacy of her legendary father Ric Flair in WWE. Debuting on the main roster as a member of PCB, The Queen has already carved out a Hall of Fame worthy career for herself. Andrade, on the other hand, was an indie legend who eventually made his way into WWE through NXT.
The two superstars met and started dating during their time together on SmackDown, before announcing their engagement in 2020. The former United States Champion was granted his release in March 2021, after which he joined All Elite Wrestling. There were rumors of Charlotte leaving WWE to join her husband in AEW, but given the great run she has had recently with the SmackDown Women's championship, it seems that those rumors were not true.
#5 Kris Statlander
Kris Statlander kicked off her wrestling career five years ago. She wrestled in a few promotions before joining AEW in 2019. The 26-year-old is currently in a relationship with IMPACT Wrestling star Caleb Konley.
Konley's career began nearly 11 years before his girlfriend made her debut. The 38-year-old spent several years on the independent circuit. In 2016, he joined IMPACT Wrestling. However, he left the company three years later, just a few months before Statlander signed with AEW.
Following his departure from IMPACT wrestling and before his girlfriend officially signed with Tony Khan's company, Konley competed in a dark match in AEW. He teamed up with Musa to face SoCal Uncensored's Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky. Konley's team lost the bout, and the 38-year-old never wrestled again in AEW.
Konley returned to IMPACT Wrestling in September 2020, playing the role of Tenille Dashwood's photographer. He has been wrestling there since. Meanwhile, Statlander is currently one of the top stars in the AEW women's division. Despite not winning the title yet, she has competed for the AEW Women's World Championship a few times.
#4 Red Velvet
Red Velvet kicked off her career on the independent circuit in 2016. Four years later, she joined AEW. The 29-year-old is currently engaged to another wrestler. In December 2020, six months following her debut on Tony Khan's promotion, Red Velvet announced her engagement to former IMPACT Wrestling star Wes Brisco.
Brisco kicked off his career in 2009, signing a developmental contract with WWE. Nonetheless, he was released from his contract two years later. The 38-year-old then started wrestling on the independent circuit. He also joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (IMPACT Wrestling) in 2012. Brisco spent two years in TNA before the company released him in January 2014.
After his TNA departure, Red Velvet's fiancé wrestled in different promotions. Brisco currently performs in Atomic Revolutionary Wrestling, where he is a former Heavyweight Champion. Meanwhile, Red Velvet has been trying to capture her first title in AEW.
#3 Lexy Nair
Lexy Nair, the stepdaughter of the legendary Diamond Dallas Page, is currently employed by All Elite Wrestling. Nair started in the promotion last year as a backstage interviewer. She is also the host of the promotion's Outside The Ring show.
Like Red Velvet and Kris Statlander, Nair is currently dating a wrestler who works in another promotion. Nair's boyfriend is former WWE Superstar and current IMPACT Wrestling star W. Morrissey.
Morrissey kicked off his wrestling career in 2009. Two years later, he joined WWE to wrestle under the name Big Cass. He made his NXT debut in 2013, where he later formed a tag team with Enzo Amore. Morrissey debuted on the main roster alongside Amore in 2016 and spent two years there before getting released in June 2018.
Following his WWE departure, the 35-year-old wrestled in a few matches on the independent circuit before joining IMPACT Wrestling earlier this year.
Morrissey and Nair have shared several photos on Instagram, expressing their love for each other. They also like attending sporting events together, like the New York Yankees and New York Knicks games.
#2 Brian Cage
Brian Cage joined All Elite Wrestling in January 2020, just a few months after tying the knot with Melissa Santos. Santos is a wrestler, interviewer, and ring announcer. She kicked off her career in Women of Wrestling before moving to Lucha Underground to work as a ring announcer. The 37-year-old spent a few years in the promotion. In 2019, she started working in IMPACT Wrestling as an interviewer.
Brian Cage also spent several years of his career in IMPACT Wrestling. He has held a few titles in the company, including the IMPACT World Title. The IMPACT Wrestling ring also witnessed Cage's proposal to Santos in 2019. Later that same year, the couple married.
Santos wrestled in a few matches throughout her career. According to The Internet Wrestling Database, the 37-year-old has not competed since 2018. Santos last competed at a Bar Wrestling event, where she teamed up with her husband to defeat Doomfly.
#1 Leyla Hirsch
Layla Hirsch kicked off her wrestling career in 2017. A year later, she started dating fellow wrestler Ashley Vox. Vox began wrestling three years before her partner. She competed in several promotions throughout her career, including New England Championship Wrestling, Chikara, and Queens Of Combat.
Vox is currently part of a tag team called The Sea Stars, alongside Delmi Exo. They are now the Shimmer Tag Team Champions. Hirsch's girlfriend and her tag team partner also compete in other promotions, including Major League Wrestling.
Before she officially became All Elite, Hirsch teamed up with her girlfriend in two tag team matches. In the first match, Hirsch joined forces with The Sea Stars to face Davienne & Sierra & Skylar at Beyond Uncharted Territory in July 2019. Nonetheless, their team lost.
Hirsch and Vox teamed up again in August 2019 to challenge Dynamite DiDi and Rocky Radley for the Queens of Combat Tag Team Titles at the promotion's Royal Affair event but again came up short.
In 2020, both Hirsch and Vox started wrestling for All Elite Wrestling. While Tony Khan officially signed Hirsch this year, he hasn't signed her real-life partner yet.
