O'Neal is one of several high-profile celebrities named in a class-action lawsuit for endorsing FTX, the cryptocurrency company that went bankrupt last year. A lawyer told Forbes that O'Neal has been doing his best to avoid the lawsuit.

Apart from Shaq, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry was also named in the lawsuit, along with NFL legend Tom Brady, his ex-wife, Giselle Bündchen, and actor Larry David.
