DSA Senior Division League 2013: Barthwal’s brace helps Solutrean-Hindustan F.C. thump City FC 4-1

New Delhi, 2th January 2014: Ajay Barthwal’s two spectacular goals helped Solutrean-Hindustan Football Club thrash City Football Club 4-1 in their fourth league match to bag three more points in the Group B of the DSA Senior Division League 2013 played at the CWG Sports Complex in Akshardham on Thursday.

Solutrean-Hindustan F.C. showed their domination in first half only when they scored three goals in just 33 minutes. Nigerian striker O.O. Sola scored Solutrean-Hindustan’s first goal in 5th min of the match, giving a solid message to their opponents.

Striker Barthwal scored his first goal just after ten minutes (15th min) and midfielder Dheeraj Singh increased the lead to 3-0 after scoring the third goal in 33rd min. City F.C. managed to score their lone goal in the first half through Mwanda Alain, who netted the ball in 31st min.

The C.R. Park-based football club kept trying to score more goals in the second half and but they faced stiff resistance from City F.C., due to that Solutrean-Hindustan missed many close chances. In the 80th min, their star striker Ajay Barthwal scored his second goal through a brilliant pass from O.O. Sola and took the final score to 4-1.

After this match, Solutrean-Hindustan F.C. now have total ten points in the Group B. On 5th January, they will face Goodwill Football Club at 12:45 pm.
