Suspended Adrien Rabiot open to Liverpool move

Rabiot will be available for free in June

The Adrien Rabiot saga seems to never end as his relations with the Paris club has worsened over time with the most recent case being a 6-day suspension.

He has reportedly been suspended for liking a social media video posted by Patrice Evra according to RMC Sport. In the video, Evra was taped saying: “Here it is Manchester. Stop supporting teams who will never win. Paris, you are some f*****s! Some f*****s

Rabiot liked the video intentionally or non-intentionally and as a result, finds himself suspended for six days by the Ligue 1 club after they sent a letter to him explaining the basis of their decision.

The letter read as follows:

"You are obliged to fulfil your duty of loyalty. Damaging the cohesion and serenity of the team is not acceptable."

Rabiot's fragile relationship with the club has led to many clubs showing their interest in the French midfielder. Barcelona who were the first ones have now withdrawn their interest after signing Dutch midfielder, Frenkie de Jong. Also, rumours suggesting Rabiot's possible move to Real Madrid have been dissolved after Marca reported that the Los Blancos have no intention in signing Adrien Rabiot.

This report has proved to be propitious for Liverpool, who wanted midfield reinforcements this summer and getting Adrien Rabiot for free in June will be the best thing The Reds would have wanted as reported by the Mirror. Thus a cool down in Madrid's interest to sign Rabiot has opened the doors for a possible Liverpool move for the French midfielder.

According to the reports by The Sun and Calcio Mercato, PSG has fringed ahead of Manchester United to ensure Herrera's services as a result of the huge wage they are offering to the Spaniard. Adrien Rabiot's potential exit has resulted in PSG acting quick to secure the services of the Red Devils midfielder.

The Manchester United midfielder is anticipated to sign a five-year contract with the French giants with a salary around £200,000 a week which will make him one of the best-paid players in world football.

Hererra joined the club from Bilbao in 2014 and has performed consistently for the Red Devils. However, a failure in reaching a contract extension has resulted in him looking for a departure from the Old Trafford.

The Spaniard will become a free agent in June and PSG are all but set to acquire his services.

With PSG looking for new players for the 2019-20 season quite a few veterans are expected to be shown the exit door from the Le Parc des Princes. Thomas Meunier, Julian Draxler, Layvin Kurzawa, Christopher Nkunku and Stanley Nsoki leads the list of departures. Dani Alves and Gianluigi Buffon can also leave due to the age factor, however, the decision is completely on themselves.

While 19-year-old Nsoki can leave for a loan term with Newcastle after being linked with them extensively, the 41-year-old Buffon can be handed a contract extension until 2021.

Thomas Meunier has been extensively scouted by Manchester United and it is extremely likely that he will be joining the Red Devils next season. Julian Draxler had been earlier linked with a move to Real Madrid whereas Tottenham Hotspur is linked with a move for Layvin Kurzawa. Christopher Nkunku is in advanced talk with Rennes to join them after the end of this season.
