How to make your own maps in Fortnite Creative 2.0 (UEFN) - Explained

Fortnite Creative 2.0 maps can be created with Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). This tool is available on the Epic Games Store and can be downloaded for free. Creating maps with the editor is relatively complicated as it requires a lot of knowledge about Unreal Engine. However, it's relatively easy to create simpler maps that can also be edited with the regular Creative mode.

Unreal Editor for Fortnite is currently only available on PC. Due to its complex nature, it's impossible to have this tool on gaming consoles and mobile phones. However, console and mobile users can play Creative 2.0 maps.

To get started, you first need to download Fortnite Creative 2.0. You can do so easily by visiting the Epic Games Store.

Once you download it and open it, here are the steps you need to take:


1) Create your first project

As soon as you open Unreal Editor for Fortnite, you will be able to select the project you want to work on. You can select one of the pre-made islands to help you familiarize yourself with all the new tools and features.

Browse through the available island templates and pick the one you like the most. After that, the custom map will load in the editor and you can edit every aspect of it.


2) Edit the map

Once your custom Fortnite Creative 2.0 map loads, you will be able to edit it with the editor. At this point, your map will be available for gameplay and you can visit it by pressing the Launch Session button on the top bar.
