Elimination Chamber is a Premium Live Event organised by WWE every year in February. It is one of the major stops in the highly-awaited Road to WrestleMania and has much to offer for the Grandest Stage of Them All. It is named after the Elimination Chamber match, which is the highlight of the night. Elimination Chamber is also known as No Escape in Germany, which is an accurate description of the hellish nature of the match, and the event overall.

The latest Elimination Chamber event was held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. It was also marketed as Elimination Chamber: Perth. It was the first event since Super ShowDown in 2018 to be held in Australia. This is also the first Elimination Chamber to be held in an outdoor venue.

WWE Elimination Chamber History

The Elimination Chamber match was first created by WWE in 2002. Then-World Heavyweight Champion Triple H and Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff are credited as the brain behind the match. The first-ever Elimination Chamber match took place at Survivor Series 2002. Over the next years, the match became a mainstay in WWE and was being contested at various PPVs. The match was held at No Way Out in 2008 and 2009. After the latter event, WWE decided to rename No Way Out. The new name for the event was voted on WWE.Com by the fans, and in February 2010, Elimination Chamber became a full-fledged PPV. Like Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank and Hell in a Cell, it became a PPV named after a certain highlight match. While initially it was just a rename of No Way Out, it was later announced that Elimination Chamber was a different event altogether.

The event has been mostly held in February and sometimes in March since its move there. It has served as a major advancement in the Road to WrestleMania, and many times has been the only pay-per-view event between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. The next Elimination Chamber will take place at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia on February 24, 2023.
