Although Rockstar Games has yet to officially reveal the game's retail price, the community has already come across numerous rumors and leaks about it in the last couple of months.
While most fans believe the Grand Theft Auto 6's cost will fall within the same range as other contemporary AAA titles, some think the studio might charge a higher amount for its upcoming big title.

GTA 6 price: Speculating the retail price of the game
Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of Rockstar Games' most ambitious projects to date. It took them nearly a decade to develop, and there is still time left for its market release. However, considering the practices followed by other game developers nowadays, the title's base version should not cost more than $70 in US.
We can also assume that colletor or special editions will cost slightly more than the aforementioned price but likely not cross the $100-$120 mark.
Interestingly, many fans believe that the developers may charge $150 per copy of the game. This price tag came up for discussion after a notorious GTA 6 leaker disclosed that the American gaming studio had spent over $2 billion in developing the upcoming Grand Theft Auto title.
Several other sources also reported the developer spending over 1 billion dollars on the title, which gave the $150 rumor more traction.
However, neither Rockstar Games nor its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has commented on the price to date, leading the community to gradually disregard the $150 price as hearsay.
One thing to consider is that Rockstar Games could sell both multiplayer and single-player versions of the game separately. Both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 can now be purchased either in bundles (Story Mode+Online multiplayer) or as standalone versions.
The Grand Theft Auto 6 could also follow the same practice, giving players more choices to make their purchases.
The GTA 6 official trailer revealed that the game is coming to Xbox Seris X/S, PlayStation 5, and other entertainment platforms in 2025. Unfortunately, there are no specific details about a PC version's release yet. The PC gamers may have to wait till 2026 to see the title on their platform.
Since Rockstar Games already revealed the platforms and the release period, the GTA 6 pre-order process is expected to start soon. Readers are advised to follow the studio's official Newswires for confirmed details.
