GOAL! Rafael Leao in the 92nd minute! Portugal 6 Switzerland 1. That's what Leao can do as we have seen so many times this season for AC Milan. He gets the ball on the left, cuts in and curls a delicious strike into the far corner leaving Sommer rooted. That is a special goal and trademark Leao.

Another change for Portugal as Ruben Neves replaces Bernardo Silva.

Ronaldo scores but he is OFFSIDE! Ronaldo goes a bit too early and even though he drives it fiercely past Sommer the flag is up. The right call and one that Ronaldo probably knew as well.

Again Joao Felix is the one who slide-rules it into Ramos who with Sommer approaching dinks it over him to complete a fine hat-trick. First start and a hat-trick. Talk about dreams!

"Ronaldo, Ronaldo," is the chant currently inside the Lusail Stadium. The Portugal supporters want to see him have a go.

Double substitution for Switzerland amongst those quick goals: Denis Zakaria and Haris Seferovic replace Djibril Sow and Remo Freuler.

GOAL! Manuel Akanji in the 57th minute! Portugal 4 Switzerland 1. Swiss score from a corner. It is flicked on at the near stick by Ramos and Akanji at the back stick sorts his feet out in time to turn it in. Just a consolation goal or a tiny glimmer of hope for Switzerland?

GOAL! Raphael Guerreiro in the 55th minute! Portugal 4 Switzerland 0. Switzerland are being carved open. This time the left-back is allowed to run free and he has the time, space and finish to arrow it into the top corner. Switzerland were just ripped apart with one-touch passing and their defence was all at sea.

GOAL! Goncalo Ramos in the 50th minute! Portugal 3 Switzerland 0. That should be game over. Delightful feet from Dalot on the right, he crosses to the near-post where Ramos gets in ahead of his man and toe-pokes it past Sommer - nutmegged him on the way. Clinical finish.

HALF-TIME! Portugal 2 Switzerland 0. So comfortable for Portugal who have been vibrant all half and have two goals to show for it. Ramos and Pepe the goalscorers. Switzerland haven't threatened much and need a big effort to come back from here.

Good save by Yann Sommer to keep out Ramos who was set up by Bruno Fernandes with a through ball. In that passage of play Fabian Schar lunged in on Joao Felix and the referee came back to award him an Yellow card for that challenge.

GOAL! Pepe in the 33rd minute! Portugal 2 Switzerland 0. The 39-year-old rises highest to a floated corner and thumps it past Sommer. A beauty of a corner from Bruno Fernandes and Pepe wanted it the most. Talk about his desire there. Portugal with a comfortable cushion.

What a cross from Joao Felix and it looks to be landing on the head of Ramos till Fabian Schar glances it wide.

A free-kick some 40 yards just right of centre and Shaqiri almost finds the corner - he curls it over the wall and the diving Diogo Costa gets a fingertip to push it wide.

It's only the 21-year-old's fourth international cap and just the 35 minutes of international action before this for Goncalo Ramos. Talk about an impact.

To the roof of the net with his left-foot and he left the goalkeeper stunned. There was no angle but somehow he has got the ball to sneak in.

JUST IN - Portuguese newspaper Record are now reporting that Cristiano Ronaldo has indeed been DROPPED by Portugal, wow!

Switzerland, on the other hand, saw off Serbia by the odd goal in five in their last group stage game to book their place in the knockout stages. They made headlines last year with an incredible extra-time victory against France at Euro 2022 - can they ruffle a few feathers once again and eliminate Portugal?

Portugal are heading into this game on the back of a shock 2-1 defeat to South Korea - a game in which Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines once again. The Portugal captain didn't enjoy his best performance on the pitch and also reacted angrily when he was subbed off, with Fernando Santos later admitting that was irked by his talisman's behavior. The Portugal manager refused to confirm if Ronaldo would start against Switzerland, so watch this space...

Meanwhile, the Round of 16 clash between Spain and Morocco is heading into extra time, as neither side was able to break the deadlock within 90 minutes.
