Fabricio Andrade shows unbridled confidence heading into rematch with John Lineker

Fabricio Andrade knows he’s a better fighter than John Lineker and he can’t wait to put those doubts to bed again in their upcoming rematch.

ONE Championship recently confirmed February’s most anticipated showdown of the year, ONE on Prime Video 7: Lineker vs. Andrade II. The two Brazilian powerhouses will run it again after their first matchup back in October was cut short due to a groin injury.

Now, Andrade is more motivated than ever to finish what he started - no ifs and or buts.

‘Wonder Boy’ told The MMA Superfan:

“I know I’m better than he is, I already knew before the fight but now I proved that I’m the better fighter and that will give me more confidence.”

Ahead of their first world title match, Fabricio Andrade had been working overtime behind-the-scenes to prepare for ‘Hands of Stone’ John Lineker.

The Brazilian striker paid a lot of attention to his boxing, Muay Thai, and submission work to sharpen his all-encompassing tool set. At the same time, he is also focused on being in the best physical shape possible.

That night on October 21, Fabricio Andrade never looked better. He had Lineker backpeddaling against the fence before delivering an inadvertent knee to the groin, calling off the fight.

MMA fans hope he can bring the same level of intensity (sans accident) in his upcoming rematch on US primetime on February 10, 2023.

Despite what Fabricio Andrade says, John Lineker is “ready to win”

Despite Fabricio Andrade’s antics and big talk, John Lineker said that he’s ready to win.

It goes without saying that Lineker didn’t get the start he wanted against Andrade. A day before the fight, the Brazilian hard-hitter was forced to vacate the belt after missing weight and subsequently fined 20% of his purse to Andrade who then agreed to fight at catchweight.

Arguably down the scorecards in the main event, Lineker suffered a bad knee to the groin that dropped instantly onto the mat in the fourth round.

However, the results before and after the fight haven't dampened his spirits. John Lineker returns with new-found motivation as he attempts to retrieve his bantamweight belt on February 10.

He re-posted a picture of their promo poster on Instagram with the caption:

“The fight continues and I'm ready to win 👊🏼 🪨 10.02.23 live on the channel @combate @ocsjj @onechampionship #oneonprimevideo7 #handsofstone”
