“I don’t doubt that” - Bibiano Fernandes says he will "catch" Stephen Loman if he "makes a mistake"

Former bantamweight king Bibiano Fernandes believes he will be able to catch his upcoming opponent 'The Sniper' Stephen Loman making a mistake. It will be an important match for the future of the division when Fernandes and Loman fight at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18.

Brazil's Bibiano Fernandes sat down with The MMA Superfan ahead of this weekend's fight. The MMA veteran is confident in his ability to defeat Loman. He explained:

"You know what, if he makes a mistake, I can catch him - a hundred percent. I don’t doubt that. He can say all he wants to say, ‘I’m not afraid of this or that,' but a lot of people [before him] weren’t afraid too, and still I caught them."

The former ONE bantamweight world champion believes his experience will make all the difference in this showdown:

"It’s the time that I’ve put in, the experience is there. That’s the difference. It’s the time and experience that I’ve been doing mixed martial arts."

Bibiano Fernandes shows respect to Stephen Loman

Bibiano Fernandes lost his ONE bantamweight throne earlier this year when he was defeated by 'Hands of Stone' John Lineker. 'The Flash' will look to climb back to the top of the division and get back in the win column, starting with a win over Stephen Loman.

'The Sniper' is a Filipino fighter who Fernandes respects greatly. In an interview with ONE, the Brazilian explained:

"Every time I fight, I go for the knockout or submission. I've seen his fights and I've noticed that he moves a lot. He hits and moves all the time. He's a very athletic guy, he has a dangerous left hand. He has Team Lakay’s style. He has good wrestling, I've never seen anyone putting him down, I've never seen anyone doing jiu-jitsu with him, and I haven't seen him fighting with his back on the ground."

Fernandes and Loman are both ranked in the top five in the competitive ONE bantamweight division. The ONE on Prime Video 4 showdown is a key matchup for the future of this weight class.
