Jeremy Pacatiw says Fabricio Andrade proved his chin in first fight with John Lineker

ONE bantamweight contender Jeremy Pacatiw believes that Fabricio Andrade proved a huge point in his first fight with John Lineker.

At ONE on Prime Video 3, a big question going into the fight was how Andrade would deal with the ferocious power of John Lineker.

Whilst his range and speed managed to keep him out of the way of Lineker’s huge shots, he did get caught a few times and was able to prove that he could stay in the fight.

Not many fighters in the bantamweight division would be able to take a shot from Lineker and continue standing in front of him, trading strikes but ‘Wonder Boy’ did exactly that and was able to win the exchanges.

In an interview with The MMA Super Fan, Jeremy Pacatiw spoke about how Fabricio Andrade proved in their first fight that he can deal with Lineker’s best weapon which will help his confidence going into their rematch:

“We also saw in their first fight that Andrade can receive shots well. We saw how he received those shots from Lineker during their first fight, and we saw that he has a tough chin.”

At ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade will face each other in a rematch. After their first fight in October ended in a disappointing no contest, an immediate rematch for the vacant title was always going to be the next step for the division.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Jeremy Pacatiw spoke about his own excitement for the fight and he predicts that this time, the fight will be closer than the first meeting:

“That’s going to be a good fight. Fabricio dominated the first one, but we can expect John Lineker to make adjustments. Can’t wait to see it.”

As Pacatiw says, the first fight went heavily in the favor of Fabricio ‘Wonder Boy’ Andrade. In the biggest fight of his career to date, the 25-year-old was able to prove that everything he had said in the build-up was correct.

Since the fight, he has been calling himself the uncrowned bantamweight world champion and it’s hard to argue with him given his performance at ONE Prime Video 3.

The big questions going into this fight, the reason why fans cannot wait to see this match-up again, are how John Lineker adjusts from the first meeting, and whether he can make the fight closer than last time out.
