Scott Coker claims Dillon Danis should either fight or "move on" from Bellator

Dillon Danis has been out of the cage for so long, seemingly without any intention of returning, that fans have questioned whether he will ever fight again. Now, Bellator's Scott Coker has given the prospect a career-threatening ultimatum.

The Bellator president is often laid back and allows his fighters to venture off into different promotions and business opportunities. Michael 'Venom' Page's fight in BKFC is a recent example of the same. Despite his open-minded approach, the huge MMA figure is seemingly beginning to become fed up with the controversial fighter.

While discussing Dillon Danis' whereabouts, Scott Coker revealed a conversation he recently had with the athlete's representatives led to a 'fight or leave' request being initiated. He said:

"I talked to his management the other day and I keep asking, 'What do you guys really want to do?' I mean, really, it's up to you guys. We can't make you come fight, but we also have to have realistic expectations..."

He continued:

"Look, we are a fight company. You wanna fight, come fight. It's that simple to me. You already have a contract in place, let's pick a date, pick an opponent and let's go. Or let's move on."

'El Jefe' has somehow managed to keep his name circulating throughout the mixed martial arts world despite not competing in any form of combat sport in almost four years.

Most recently, the jiu-jitsu specialist was scheduled to step into the boxing ring and go toe-to-toe with popular UK YouTube star KSI. However, those plans never came to fruition after the Bellator man withdrew just days before the event.

When did Dillon Danis fight last?

Since Dillon Danis last fought inside the Bellator cage, Jon Jones was carrying the light heavyweight championship and preparing to defend his gold against Thiago Santos. Meanwhile, Khabib Nurmagomedov was still two fights away from retirement.

The last time the 29-year-old made an appearance in the sport, he competed in a catchweight bout against Max Humphrey. It was a five-fight welterweight at the time with an extensive amateur record.

As round one was coming to a close, Dillon Danis managed to lock up an armbar submission. It extended the grappling wizard's record in MMA to two wins and zero losses.
