Jets HC Robert Saleh finally comes clean on Aaron Rodgers trade talks

It's no secret that head coach Robert Saleh has helped turn around the New York Jets. He took the team from a 4-13 record in his first season to a 7-10 record last season, despite having a quarterback carousel.

The Jets were actually better than what their record displayed and there's a high probability that their quarterback issue will be resolved next season.

Now that four-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion Aaron Rodgers has expressed his desire to play for the Jets, things will certainly change. Although the Jets and Green Bay Packers are yet to work out a trade package, the chances of Rodgers playing for the Jets is high and Saleh recently spoke about the possibility.

Saleh thinks the status of the team when he arrived two years ago to where they are now is incredible. He stated that it's clear that they are headed in the right direction if a quarterback of Rodgers caliber wants to play for the team.

The Packers and Jets should be amplifying their trade talks in coming weeks as the offseason workouts will begin in just a matter of weeks. But the question remains as to how much the Jets will give up to acquire Rodgers.

How long has Robert Saleh been a coach in the NFL?

Robert Saleh began his coaching career at the collegiate level at Michigan State in 2002 as an offensive assistant. He took the position as a defensive assistant at Central Michigan in 2004. In 2005, he took the same position at the University of Georgia. Later that year, he became a defensive intern with the Houston Texans, his first opportunity at the pro level.
