NFL Trade Rumors: Former Bucs receiver makes bold prediction regarding Lamar Jackson’s future in Baltimore

A few days ago, Lamar Jackson tweeted that he had requested a trade from the Baltimore Ravens earlier this month. After years of failed contract negotiations, Jackson has finally decided to leave the Ravens.

Although Jackson has made his desire to leave the franchise public, not many think he will get traded. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh expressed optimism about retaining his quarterback despite the controversial tweet and claimed that he is looking forward to working with Jackson next season.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Keyshawn Johnson also doesn't think that Lamar Jackson will get traded. He thinks that the franchise will reconcile with him as there is still a long way to go until the season starts.

Here's what Keyshawn Johnson said on First Take:

“I think when you talk about can things be patched up, can things be resolved? Absolutely. 100%, and you start by saying the money, right? You say 'Well, they don't want to give him the money, they don't want to give him the money today, tomorrow's a long way away.'

"We're sitting here at the end of March, the beginning of April. They don't have to do anything money-wise until the summer, so they can go back and forward. The Baltimore Ravens aren't stupid. We all may think they're stupid because of the non-exclusive agreement. No matter what anybody says in my belief ... no 26-year-old in the prime of his career gets moved."

Johnson compared Jackson's situation to that of Deebo Samuel and Kyler Murray, who were unhappy last season before getting their contract extensions. If the Ravens are able to offer their quarterback an offer of his liking, the former NFL MVP may decide to stay in Baltimore.

Jackson has been busy of late calling out people on Twitter for spreading false narratives about him.

Not having an agent is backfiring on Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson still doesn't have an agent, and it would be fair to say that has cost him. Everyone around the NFL believes that having an agent would have helped him a lot in contract negotiations.

There are many things that a player can't do while representing himself, and a player of his status should be focused on his performances rather than the negotiations with the teams. No other quarterback is negotiating for himself, and they are getting better deals done quicker than Lamar Jackson.
